Remarkable effort and impressive work.

Kudos Jim for this outstanding gift to the Solaris community. That is a great day and this wonderful instrument was really needing this OS update to pursue revealing its marvelous depth.

Rob (and anyone else having problems) - you can also just hold down the Enter button right after turning on the Solaris. You will eventually see a special menu with 3 choices - pick #1, and you should see the flash process start. Then follow the direction to reboot once it’s done.

IF for whatever reason you are still not seeing anything, make sure that you have renamed the file as solarisos.raw, and is in the OS folder on your CF card, because otherwise the Solaris will not recognize it.

John-

My CF card has never had a "doFlash.txt" file on it. I tried the OS upgrade without out it and it does not seem to see it. It still says 1.2 on page 4 of the home screen. Perhaps if you posted that txt file? Where would I put it if I had it?

Thanks

Rob Ibsen

That's day and night! Loaded into my Solaris and feel excited! It's now like a Japanese knife - ideal in every detail. Oh John, hard to say how I was missing all those fixes. Jim, please, don't stop.

Thank you so much Jim!!!

This is a truly great community contribution and one that I hope will continue. If you have a PayPal account, I will be happy to make a donation in the spirit of open community source code update efforts. As a software engineer myself with little time on my own hands I know how valuable what you are doing is.

Thank you!

Arun

hi Jim- minorguy( or majorguy as says synthwalker) and John, and Many Thanks for this job and your time to improve this excellent synth. I´ve still so much things to learn with it, and it ´s a big pleasure ´to use it and to know that there are updates that they will make it "grow up" stability etc..
