I agree, I would love hear how it sounds with the Waldorf wavetables. :D

I wouldn't call them breathtaking. I had four days and at the end of it John really need to get the prototype back. I wish I could have spent more time and developed patches using the rotors (barely touched on that). When you make your demos it would be great if you showed off the Waldorf stuff. I did not use any of the WTs.

When the Atari 5200 came out there was a lot of hype about the 'analog' joystick versus the digital joystick that the 2600 had. Then everyone realized how bad it was.. WICO saved the day.

:(

I'm on a regular WinXP PC now and there is no program that will play a "M4a" file.

It looks like it's some kind of Apple thing based on the Wiki article...part of Quicktime apparently. Since Quicktime rewrites file associations without permission (and it's a PITA to fix), I'd rather not install it.

This will probably be the last one as John needs to get the Prototype back
(tomorrow!). I recreated the intro from his own demo that he did for the
Prophet-5 in 1978 .. using the Solaris, of course (or is it?) No .. all sounds
are from the Solaris. Same Solaris drum kit and more comb filter fun and
use of the joystick. I have to say, this is an *EXCELLENT* joystick. I don't
know what else I can say. I think if you've ever owned a Prophet-VS or a
TG33 you'll find this to be the best joystick you've used. Its like the WICO
for your synth. Or when you got a WICO for your Atari 5200. Its like
that.
