JBowen & Soniccore actually had a chance for the former Speaker Of The House to appear, but they weren't really worried about demo'ing the mic pre's of the XITE-1 that much.

You're welcome, and keep in mind this 10 voices on the soft version which sounds no where near as good as the hardware.
I can only froth thinking about the way those waves will swirl and sound w/ 96k processing.
I suppose JB never suspected his Solaris to be covering FMPianos but I plan on exploring every nook and cranny of this synth.
I am anxious to see the voice stealing algoryhthims too.

You're right definitely sounds sweet :D
Thanks for whetting our appetite some more.

Here's the Waldorf Pair using 2 x FMPiano wavetables from Solaris.
It ain't no Yamaha Tx816 through a Lexicon PCM70, but it sounds sweet just the same.
I run out of poly on Solaris once or twice and lost the sheet music for the tune years ago, with 10 voices and no music, the FMPiano waves still do their job at least.

You shall be King of all you survey w/ Solaris.
I got so many out there questions to JB becuase I have used the DSP models for so long.
But they have so many tricks that a hardware synth of Yore doesn't do.
Having these tricks from soft to hardware is so futuristic, and the more we all share here the better.
I just have a slight head start from using his software DSP synths for so long.
I have been studying the MIDI implementation charts and we will have so many great ways to control Solaris for guys needing to use both hands to play.
I think the guys who are going to make the first presets for this will be awesome. JBowen knows the guys to use.
My type of sounds arn't popular really, but they are always FAT BASTARDS, and they make me smile.
There's guy named Benoist Guitton who made presets for Solaris and this guys is extremely deep. Unheard of textures and SFX.
Hope he continues strepping up to the plate.

I really like the texture you achieved jimmy, it sounds great.

As far as having the Waldorf wavetables in Solaris I'm extremely pumped since I've been gassing for a Microwave 1 for some time. This in my opinion makes the Solaris even more GAS worthy. :D

Thanks for sharing, I can't wait to hear some of the patches you come up with hardware Solaris.

Excellent News......

I like using Waldorf Oscillators with heavy offsets and low amounts of LFO wave sweeping. This gives me evolving textures w/o that notchy jumpy sound that Blofelds use in many of their presets when sweeping wavetables.
I realize that sound is what many people like, but I prefer having some slow envelope CEM or SSM Pad w/ quad saws over the top of evolving textures from the Waldorfs.
I add the higher amounts of Unison Detuning as I hear the high end frequencies of the wavetables approaching their peaks.
I am serious this sucker sounds as good as my Eventide Eclipse chorus.

This function should be possible - I already made a note to the coders that the Unison Detune parameter needs to be updated in real time. At the moment, it requires a new note event to recognize any changes in the Detune, as the detuning is being processed in the voice assignment routine.

Unison Stacking Detune Knob?

by scope4live » Wed Apr 15, 2009 8:26 am

On DSP synths from JBowen I often disable the effects, no offense, but I prefer the natural detunings I can get from the detune knob when Unison Stacking is engaged.
For example..
I use this mostly for the Waldorf style Oscillators by attaching a CC from the Mod Wheel or expression pedal.
While the LFO's are sweeping the Oscillators I like the raise the amount of detune as it makes a great effect, similar to the quality of my Eventide Eclipse. It can be set at zero and climb to 24 and give some really quality chorusing which sounds great on Waldorf Oscillators.
Will I be able to do this still with the Solaris?
A pedal would be really sweet.
The old style Prince/Oberheim LFO Vibrato via ModWheel is cool, but this effect is really outstanding.
I apologise for not looking into this while at NAMM, but I had more fun chatting to people in person and trying to be socailly acceptable and this distracted me from a deeper probing of the synth.

Cheers.
