No Dice.
I have no idea why it would link me back to the Cairo thing. At least it's not music to shoot protestors by as the title was kind of current in a strange way.

Love 2 Hear It Though.

Cheers

I am being linked to this clip from a Scope DSP card user when clicking the link you provided.
Could you re post the link so I can see if I am having trouble here.
Would love to hear some Acid.

Thanks

Hope that works.

Zahush76, do you mean the Glide Type called 'Fingered Portamento'? This connects notes that are played legato (no separation) and produces glide only for those notes. Best with Monophonic use, of course. See page 45 in the User Guide - Home Menu section for details.

Just select this in your Home page #1, under 'GldType' - you want 'FingPort'.

Also, turn off the glide per oscillator - this is a keyboard mode type of glide you want.

I would ask everyone who has functional questions - please check in the User Guide first, as I've noticed there have been several times doing so would have resolved the question. If it then does not, please email me directly, or post over in the Owner's Forum.

While i'm at it - here are a few acid lines from Solaris, being sequenced by d16 Phoscyon. Just checking the glide response, and tweaking a bit as i go along. Nothing fancy:

But under the Oscillator section pick 2 Oscillators to have Glide. Assign buttons 1 & 2 to their own Oscillator, one amount slight but noticable, the 2nd heavier.
Now you can still have the presets Portamento on to a pre programmed amount, and when needing more use the Assign 1 & 2 buttons to make shorter notes more noticable.
By having the Portamento set to low levels it isn't noticable unless you are using over an octave in between notes.
Shorter intervals can be controlled by short glide (assign 1) or long glide (Assign 2).

Hope this helps.
That's not what i meant. I'm just trying to make some acid lines with the Solaris (yeah! it's not just for soundscapes and pads!).
For that i need the Solaris to engage the Glide only when two notes are connected (i.e. played\sequnced in legato). This is a very basic feature in modern synths. All dsi synths have that. My vermona perfourmer has that. It seems highly unlikely the Solraris doesn't have that, so that's why i'm pretty sure i'm missing something.

Glide and Legato: am i overlooking something

by Zahush76 » Sat Jul 27, 2013 2:07 am

Hi. I'm trying to configure a preset in a way that it has glide - but that the glide will only be triggered when i play Legato. That way when notes are not overlapping there won't be glide - and when they're connected there will be glide. Pretty standard stuff.
I've gone thru the different glide modes (while in mono of course), and different re-trigger modes - but it seems that if glide is on, than it's always on. Am i missing or overlooking something?

Thanks!
