no no, I was just pointing out that the new way of entering notes in the sequence using the keyboard (as the video shows) is very welcomed, and if it were the only new feature of the new sequencer stuff in the upcoming OS, this update would already be valuable!...

"record (the keyboard)" alone would be a much valuable addition.
Do you mean a real-time recording of whatever you play? I know we aren’t set up for that at the moment. I'm not sure what resources that would require. With the new sequencer, you do load the notes by playing the keyboard, but the timing, note type, velocity, etc., are then all editable in the various sub-pages.

Excellent!

"record (the keyboard)" alone would be a much valuable addition.
But with the first foray into graphical representation, random bits added to the sequences, ratchet...
This makes the Solaris a very capable synth in this department!

Thank you Jim and John!

(and the video with almost no talking but only a demo is a very good way to present the new features)

Solaris Sequencer and Arpeggiator Update!

For a long time I’ve had requests to update the sequencer functions of the Solaris, and it’s been on the list once we got the 4-part multi-timbre v2.x OS done. Jim has been hard at work implementing a number of new features in a major overhaul of the Solaris sequencer and arpeggiator code, and we are getting close to a new OS release, so I thought I’d make a short video showing the new functions.

Here’s a short 9 min video - I hope you enjoy it!
