My original intent and specification was to have all envelope time adjustments done in real time, but this is one of the things that never got coded. I was told it added a lot of difficulty and time.

For now, you have to retrigger the envelope to update the new time values. I still hope to change this some day.
Sorry!

Envelope behaviour different from earlier specification

Tonight I sat down with Solaris, trying to learn the basics of working with it. Starting from an INIT patch, I experimented with oscillator types, filter types, envelopes and performance controllers. This far I'm quite satisfied with Solaris.

One thing with the envelopes surprised me. I expected them to be "live" and adjustable in real time. In another thread John stated that they should be "live". But in OS 1.0 they are not. You have to press another key before an envelope adjustment is audible. Is this a bug? Or have I misunderstood something about how to use Solaris?
