Re: Wordclock synchronisation

Ok, so i've finally tried this :
FF800 in sync with 2 AD / DA convertors (Wordclock) - Master 48k
Solaris on SPDIF Input (with a Optical to Coax adaptor) - Slave

The Solaris cannot get synchronized to the incoming spdif data, so it's unusable in my configuration in digital.
I did a test with another spdif device (TC Electronics Fireworx), and it get the spdif sync and works flawlessly as a slave.
I don't know if it can get adressed in a future software update or if it's hardware related.
Does anybody managed to work with Solaris synchronised with their digital devices ?
Thanks

The Solaris SPDIF runs at 48 kHz. Any incoming rate other than 48 kHz will be converted to 48k, and the Solaris SPDIF output will be at 48k as well.

Wordclock synchronisation

Hi
Sorry if it has been asked before.
I have another digital device in my studio, so i have to synchronise the solaris to an external digital clock.
This is my config :

ASP 008 Wordclock Out -->RME FF800 WC in
ASP 008 ADAT 1/8 --> RME FF800 ADAT In

If i do this, will it works ?
Solaris SPDIF out --> RME SPDIF In (coax)
RME SPDIF out (coax) --> Solaris SPDIF in

I'm asking because i have to buy two Optical to Coax adapters, and i'm not sure if the synth will synchronise with the SPDIF clock incoming.

Thanks
