Re: What power-adaptor for the Solaris?

Input is 100-240V. You need the output to be +12 volts at 2.5 Amps (or more...you could use 3.0 Amps as well). Probably you are having a problem with the connector, because some of them on the market have smaller diameter plugs. The Solaris uses a 2.5mm x 5.5mm x 9.5mm connector. Hi John! What's th...

For me, in my setup, viewing angle is very important so I'm in.

Re: "Smoothing" for WT scanning

This! Exactly what I needed recently. I assumed it will behave like this by default, but then discovered stepping and had to abandon my idea.

Re: Developer Fund

Since this thread started, I had been thinking a lot. Before I bought my Solaris, I was looking at Prophet 12 and OB-6. Those two had possibility to give me hands on experience and sounds I needed. OB-6 in the front and P12 in the background. I had to chose one at the end of 2016 and maybe afford se...

Re: Developer Fund

John, 1) Adding new oscillator or filter types can very possibly mean a reduction in the polyphony from 10 to 5 voices. Would that be OK? Is it possible, that programmer misunderstood the intentions and was thinking about adding more oscillators or filters to be available at the same time with those...

Re: other Solaris hardware ideas

Hi John! Right now, in light of things discussed in "Developer Fund" thread, I think that for me it all depends how will be programming and multitimbrality made. Ideally would be to program 1U rack (or any other expansion - every other option could be programed in this way) from my Solaris, so I can...

Re: Developer Fund

Hi John! I'm super excited to see this thing going, as I was ready to propose the same thing, but someone did it first. I'm willing to drop 200 to 300 USD. Regarding those that are not willing to pay, I don't feel unfair and am on naive side believing in decency. I might be wrong, but seeing as thin...

Re: Obie state variable filter - continuous change of mode.

Thank you John for clarification on that matter. Today with fresh head and your input I got new ideas of achieving my desired effect. I think I could go with 8 stage looping envelope, mixer, two filters and two lag processors for final sculpting. Don't know how to achieve this fading ((100%,0%)->(10...

Re: Noise source and its impact on sample and hold.

Hi John, Thank you for your answers as well as aditional information that is also very usefull. When you will know the answer, please let us know. Can you tell us what's the distribution of S&H either in LFO or OSC? Is it gaussian (typical S&H )? Is it uniform? Or other? Sorry for asking such irrele...

Obie state variable filter - continuous change of mode.

Hi All, As I don't have my unit yet, can anyone tell me if it's possible to change Obie state variable mode fluently from one mode to another without abrupt change? I am thinking of changes similar to those seen in OB-6, when turning mode knob, either by hand, from external controller or by modulati...

Noise source and its impact on sample and hold.

Hi All, At the beginning: I want to tell you that this is my first post at this forum and I am glad to be one of "to be owners" as I see you all as group of emotionally mature people and have not seen examples of rudeness here. And sorry for my bad english, as it is not my native language and I do n...
