Thanks Carbon111, I appreciate it. Unfortunately none of the shops in my area have the NordWave on display for me to try and get an idea of my own, that's why I'm throwing it out there to try and get the insight of others (thanks for your help). Ever since the NordWave went on sale, they became a li...

Any utility to a Nord Wave? (Already Prepaid a Solaris)

I know this is a kind of mid-range versus Ferrari question, but I figured it would be worth throwing it out there given that everyone here is in the same boat with the Solaris, learning more and more as we go, and anxiously awaiting the arrival of a soon-to-be pride of the studio. I can't wait, John...

I am very excited with the 'final' design rev. I can't wait to get it home. Thanks, John, for encouraging so much input along the way.

John, Thanks for the quick reply. I'm glad you aren't choosing a "cheesy" joystick for the unit. The no-compromises idea is one of the reasons I didn't hesitate to pre-order. One on my main synths is a PVS, and the ability to morph between 4 different waves is extremely important to me. Al...

I am glad someone started this thread. I would prefer that the solaris engineering team not spend their time on stuff that most of us, I feel, already have in other instruments, or in the form of computer software. I was originally attracted to the solaris because of the sythesizer engine and he ide...

I ordered a white with wood end caps. As someone else said, and I agree, I like the OB vibe (esp if John is going to go with the cream/off whites he's mentioned in lieu of the olive.)

I can see where everyone is coming from looking for a rack version. I think if I had the choice, I would stick with the version that had the full UI (If a reduced UI set was being considered for the rack/expander/tabletop model) I am very anxious to see the Solaris engine operating with maximum cont...
