Re: Poly Pressure

Just thought I'd check back and see if the Solaris Plug has incorporated PAT?

Just semi-retired so have more time for music now.

PAT applications

Hey Jimmy,

The theory of what you can do with PAT and what you may actually be able to do with current Scope developed insttuments may differ. :(

Keep watching....

PAT test on Pro-Wave Plugin

Pro-Wave PAT testing. OK I've done a preliminary test and it's good! The plugin recognizes PAT and modulates as assigned. If you press a key on the keyboard and then press harder the PAT changes the modulation target accordingly. However it only works on every second different not played. If you kee...

MIDI test files for PAT and Note-off velocity

Here are 2 test files in both Cubase .prt and standard MIDI file format. You can use them to test if your sound modules/plugins support either MIDI message. I'd like to know the results please, and so too, would others, so if you test anything just post the device name and which messages it supports...

John Bowen wrote:Eric,
Once you get your DSP card, let me know. I will make up a Demo version of the Solaris plug-in that adds PolyAT to the Mod Source lists, and you could then try it out before you purchase.

PAT Keyboards

The Elka MK50/88 would be the way to go IMHO It has PAT with 4 or 5 different curves including inverted. Same with channel AT. It's fuly weighted keybed and is BUILT INTO a flightcase! It's very heavy. Drawback - It only has 10 note polyphony! I wrote to them in 1990 asking WTF and they said somethi...

Solaris and PAT

John,

That's a very generous offer.

I'd be happy to try it out.

Thanks,

Eric.

Well if anyone can use PAT to good effect, Jimmy it's you.

I'll dig out the Elka and get the Solaris Plug. I'm waiting for my 14DSP card to arrive from Hong Kong and the SDK from Germany. 8)

Poly Pressure

Hi John.

I'm currently running a thread on Planet Z about this and they tell me Solaris implements it. Can you point me at the tech. specs fort the plug? Specifically the MIDI implementation chart.
The questions I have are about what PP can be assigned to.

Eric.
