Re: Patch Master Volume Issues

The Master Volume is not stored anywhere, so I wouldn’t expect it to have anything to do with patch creation on an older OS. Make sure your Master Volume is calibrated correctly by checking the ‘Self Test’ menu - hold 1-8-3 at the same time to get this menu, and select #4 Analog Controls, then #4 ag...

Re: other Solaris hardware ideas

Just wanted to chime in. I'm a millenial, and awaiting my solaris. I wouldn't want to have anything to do with mini keys. That is in fact the main reason I am turned off by new korg products. Agreed! Side note: Rackmount solaris voice expander would interest me the most. This seems to be the first ...

Re: save cc settings

These should be saved with the Global INIT file (using SAVE from there System page 1), but I see that they are not. I will let Jim know.

Thanks for reporting the bug!

New preset bank soon

We have a new bank of Presets coming from a very well-known synthesizer expert. I hope to get the final data by end of next week, and from what I’ve heard so far, everyone will be quite happy with these new sounds. :-)

Re: Not booting, just flickering screens and wheel lights

My first guess is concerning your power supply. Also, I would say this was not due to upgrading your OS. If you could find another appropriate power supply module, I would check there first. (You need a 12 volt 3 amp with positive center pin supply.)

Re: other Solaris hardware ideas

The Quantum looks fantastic! I had a brief go at it at NAMM, and was most impressed (also a bit jealous, as I was hoping to have some granular function and resonant filter banks in the Solaris by now!).

Re: Developer Fund

Any news on this? I’d love for someone to get started on a utility/librarian. I keep putting off organizing presets cause it’s no fun :( Keep us updated. OK Everyone! I have a response from MIDi Quest regarding a full-fledged editor software package. The estimated cost is $10,000-$14,000 to develop...

Re: Announcing another major update to the Solaris Operating System, v1.4.0!

Ah, that’s a good explanation. I don’t use Windows, so I’m unfamiliar with the possibilities.
Thanks for the heads up!

Re: Announcing another major update to the Solaris Operating System, v1.4.0!

Hmmm, that REALLY does not make sense! I’ve NEVER heard of needing to leave off the .raw extension for the OS to load. I am going to ask how that could possibly work.

Re: Announcing another major update to the Solaris Operating System, v1.4.0!

Managed to sort it out. My CF card was missing the txt file. Thank you for your hard work on the OS. Yes, all you need is a text file that has only a number in it. The number is 1 if you want to auto-load the OS, and after the Solaris does that, it will automatically change the text file to a 0. Th...

Re: Announcing another major update to the Solaris Operating System, v1.4.0!

Jimmy, All you really need in your OS Folder on the CF Card is a file named ‘solarisos.raw’. If you want the OS to automatically install when you turn on the synth, then you can keep the text file called ‘doFlash.txt’ and edit it so that the number is 1. Otherwise, I just hold down the Enter button ...
