Thanks, Steve. Confirmed here with 1.4.0.2 as well.

Re: Outs 1/2 bug

Hi Pascal,
Very strange - so, if you re-install v1.3.1, you never have this issue with the outputs?

Re: Announcing another major update to the Solaris Operating System, v1.4.0!

Quick update - There was a small bug when using Compare mode that altered Mod Sources, now fixed in v1.4.0.2, which I’ve just posted. Please install this version if you have v1.4.0 or v1.4.0.1.

Re: Announcing another major update to the Solaris Operating System, v1.4.0!

What he is saying is that any presets created now with v1.4.x will have this new parameter location, so if you get such a preset and are still using v1.3.1 or below, it won’t ‘know’ about the new value, and so any Linear FM will have to be tweaked - again, only if you are using an older OS. Update -...

Re: USB recognition since OS 1.4

I tried it using Windows 10 Home 64 bit with no problem. Will ask Jim to check what else it could be.

Re: Announcing another major update to the Solaris Operating System, v1.4.0!

... I would love to have a software interface that had some patch randomization and genomics like the SoundTower editors for Dave Smith Instruments. But with SYSEX support, it should even be possible to set up a Lemur patch or such on iPad and have the ability to do X-Y pads, touch faders and other...

Re: Modulation Sources List Messed Up in v1.4

Yes, sorry about the confusion. I wanted to differentiate v1.4.0 and the version with the fix, but still didn’t feel it warranted a full bump to v1.4.1. We’d like to wait to see if there are any other significant problems for users before we do that.

Re: Developer Fund

I would love to have both resonator and granular models, and in fact, had planned on a granular type to be added early on, since the coder at Sonic Core had developed a working software plugin for his thesis project. Unfortunately, he left Sonic Core, and so nothing ever progressed with that. When I...

Re: Favorite Reverb

So...I also bought a Strymon BigSky a couple of years ago, but have yet to put it to use. However, at the time, I did contact the head of Strymon to ask off they would license the code or some such arrangement. Unfortunately, I never heard back from them. Since they are using a SHARC chip, I thought...

How to add or update your Preset files

I was recently asked for the basic steps it takes to install new Press banks. Here’s what I wrote... Once you have connected your CF card to your computer, and you have the new preset banks you want to install: 1) Open the Presets folder on your CF Card. You will see a number of Bank folders, number...

Re: USB recognition since OS 1.4

I’ve tested with Win10 and Mac Sierra, and the Solaris is being recognized right away over USB in both cases (using 1.4).
Jim is aware of your report, and so any other details you can provide would be helpful.

Re: Developer Fund

For me the most pressing issue is fixing Linear FM to work correctly with audio rate sources. See this thread where I provided an explanation of why I believe the current implementation deviates from what one would expect from experience with other synths that provide the feature: https://forums.jo...

Re: Mixer exponential

I checked the level of white noise at +1, and it’s barely there...not sure how you’re saying it’s way too loud? You could, of course, drop the Master Output level down, but I guess this is what you mean that it essentially requires another mixer for any other sound source. Not really sure about re-s...

Re: Developer Fund

OK with prepaying. My main concern is with overall DSP horsepower and managing it... Any chance of an internal hardware DSP add-on board or similar? Would really open up new possibilities. Not really. I asked about this some time ago, but without a major change in the board, it’s really not possible.
