Re: other Solaris hardware ideas

First - Thanks for the email pointing to this thread. I think non-Solaris owners might be interested in option 1, (a la the Oberheim Expander) to navigate controls easily and edit sounds with possibly a small joystick to show off versatility of the presets. I would prefer the option of hooking up a ...

Re: Developer Fund

I know making Solaris multitimbral is not trivial. I personally would contribute (pre-pay) to a developer fund to help develop multitimbrality and if this was achievable via a rack unit/expander then that would also interest me. Obviously some thought on the logistics of how to edit in a master / sl...

Many MANY Thanks to Jim and John for all the hard work you've done on Solaris. It is very much appreciated and makes Solaris even more OUTSTANDING than before.

Are there any coders onboard or know someone who could help create a windows versions?

Unfortunately I'm only a user with no coding expertise.

Re: Announce when you receive your Solaris!

I took Solaris on a weekend field trip to the "Hands Off 2011" theremin event in Scarborough UK :) http://theremin.tv/category/hands-off-2011/ We had quite a few particiapants from Vermont, Michigan, Colarado, Georgia, Massachusetts and also from various countries around Europe. Folks said the sound...

Re: Production & delivery schedule

Thanx John - yes I'm certainly over the moon about a Solaris arriving on my doorstep one Thursday :D Unfortunately I had to be up early on Friday (4am) to visit a friend's studio, with a round trip of nearly 600 miles the next day, but I couldn't resist the thrill of unpacking and firing it up to li...

Does Solaris really need a step sequencer?

I don't think that this is a priority, but having used evOLver since March 2003, I would say that is may be a useful addition at some time in the future. I'd love to hear the effects of a running sequence with adjustments made to some of the more obscure filters in a live situation.

I understand John's concern at achieving his deadlines. Getting Solaris out there for the world to see and review should hopefully bring the interest to let John introduce other unique ideas. I'm just a humble user who likes to try out unusual configurations. I'm sure that once Solaris is out and ab...

The Etherwave-Pro uses CV for pitch and volume doesn't it? What are you using to convert the CV data to midi? (wondering where the 48 note constraint comes from as the Etherwave-Pro claims to span 6.5 octaves). This is really off topic, but I use a MCV1a theremin to MIDI converter. To bring it back...
