Does it already have audio inputs (i.e. for vocoding etc.) Being able to use the Solaris filtering on external audio would be great! I think mastering might be a step too far ;-) I think it is important that we don't see this as a Scope system. AFAIK it just happens to use some bits from it (dsp ato...

Sure! Bi-Timberal (Dual tone - split/layer) would be great (if possible) I guess the other question might be; if it's $3000~$3500 now, would you pay $3500~4500 for a (4~8 part??) multitimberal version ? $3000 is already out of my league, so I'd be well happy with zoned oscillators or bi-timberal if ...

zoning

JMTCW. Obviously we need to hear from Mr Bowen about what is possible, but multitimberality is a massive dsp power leap! AFAIK you are talking about duplicating the entire engine by X parts! (or at least sub dividing the dsp dynamically). And the Creamware card Solaris version already has more oscil...

I haven't actually seen all 4 pictures :-( But the light coloured body (like the access T1 polar) is very sexy and should look good on TV. So I don't understand why the dark body is in the lead at the moment? In dim gig lighting, a light body is also more functional and I don't think lighting reflec...

I can see that the live features will be important, so I think it's essential that it can layer and split. As this is a huge power duplication, perhaps elements within a patch could be note zoned (key mapped) and in that way, elements of each patch could be split or layered. Maybe it does that alrea...

Orion

Superbly pleased with my Orion!

Does anyone know of other patch sets to buy, or if there are people who want to share their own patches, and an appropriate way to do this?

I appreciate PlanetZ might be the logical choice, but...

Thanks

IMHO the Solaris hardware is probably THE most significant music technology release in the past decade. I say that based simply on the sound of the Creamware Solaris plug-in - it's versatility, it's cleanness and its ability to merge well in a mix and not over power. As you can also use sample oscil...

Hi John I'm sure you can do it yourself, but if you can supply the translation values I'd be happy to write a standalone of RTAS/VST plug-in (PC platform) to convert between plug-in and hardware. Naturally we could do an intelligent translation to remove any incompatible features. I can sign an NDA ...
