Re: Automating the Solaris using cubase?
This thread about NRPN in the Reaper forum is very interesting (yet complex) some very knowledgable users imply only one parameter can be automated at a time using NRPN...... :( http://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=113542&highlight=NRPN Reading all this IReally feel we need the Soundtower pl...

Ah you were quicker than I - was just about to correct myself.... Apologies Reaper!

Re: Automating the Solaris using cubase?
So I've contacted Steinberg - let's see what they say.... Also I see Reaper is Windows only so that's unfortunately of no help to me.

Re: Automating the Solaris using cubase?
Yes John, I will bring all this up with Steinberg - hopefully they have (or will work on) a solution, as for my part I'm a musician not a binary/hexidecimal entity and although I understand very well the need for NRPN's all this code talk is entirely alien to me. Have you seen the soundtower plugin ...

Re: Automating the Solaris using cubase?
Personally I am deeply suspicious that the problem for us Cubase users is caused by an NRPN midi feedback loop. Cubase will filter Sysex, notes etc but not NRPN. So when Solaris has RX disabled we can record NRPN to Cubase, Then disable Tx & enable Rx and is works - but why Filt1 tune works alwa...

Lemur iPad controller is fantasic - if only a clever programmer could write some good templates for it!!!
With the motion physics it can make impressive automations & modulations.
You really should check it out as its by far the most advance iPad controller out there..

If you can add filters to the delay please make them resonant!

Re: Solaris receives midi in and goes crazy
As John knows I've been battling this problem for sometime in conjunction with Cubase.
I've tried 5 pin midi & USB. The problem exists on both protocols - but for me is worse with USB.
I'm convinced this is all some kind of NRPN feedback loop.

Re: more modulation destinations
A level of effect modulation would be very useful!
I read on another thread of a request for filtering on the delay which would also be superb - now if the filter had resonance like the Ohmboyz delay it would be mega fantastic!!

Re: Midi panic support
I absolutely agree!!!
The current need to do a power cycle is tedious - especially with all the NRPN feedback problems I'm having with Cubase.

Re: Automating the Solaris using cubase?
Zahush - I think we might need to install the 'Generic Remote Device' in the device setup dialog (maybe?)
It looks like this might enable us to setup a template of all the NRPNs?
