Re: Announcing another major update to the Solaris Operating System, v1.4.0!

I'm sure it's in front of my nose, but where can I find the 1.4 download link?
Thank you,
Scott

Re: Sustain Pedal Global save issue?

Hello John, It's nice to see V1.3 finally arrive. And I'm pleased with several of the frustrating bugs have been fixed. However; I'm afraid the Global settings issue with the pedal assignments addressed in this thread does not appear to be resolved with this update. Is this an oversight of it droppi...

Re: New version of the OS ? Soon or not ?

Please include a list of bugs corrected upon the release of the updated firmware. This is very beneficial for the user community to understand/check that their particular performance issues have been addressed (or not) with the release. A consolidate "bug list" has been requested multiple ...

Re: New version of the OS ? Soon or not ?

I appreciate the honest description of the current arrangement with the software developer, and the recent discussion on potential solutions to expedite the bug fixes we all require, and the upgrades that some desire. I share a couple of thoughts/suggestions in that regard from my perspective: 1) I ...

Re: New version of the OS ? Soon or not ?

2+ years since the last software update, ~1 year since a new programmer was brought on board, ~1/2 year since a beta was reported... If there a real update in the near future I'm sure most owners would appreciate an honest ETA and list of bug fixes expected to be resolved. Too many experiences of &q...

Re: Solaris Bug List

Hello John, Thanks for the update on Holger's progress. I'm encouraged by the assurances that he has that the code will be more stable and robust. Never an easy job taking over someone else code, but with strong programming skills & experience a set of fresh eyes can also improve upon the origin...

Re: Expression (Volume) Pedal Issue/Question

Thanks John - that was the ticket! The default state my Solaris was in was Max=0, Min=1016. After following the recalibration step for setting the ranges the correct values are now Max=1017, Min=0. Pedal operates now just fine. Not sure if my particular power-up state was the proper default state, o...

Re: Expression (Volume) Pedal Issue/Question

Hello John, No joy trying that trick (plus the sustain pedal does operate in the correct jack). Note that with the Yamaha FC7 pedal installed in the proper jack (Expression), the pedal will cut off the volume when hard minimum. However, then with any small movement off of full min then the volume go...

Re: Expression (Volume) Pedal Issue/Question

Hello Christeck - thanks for the helpful information that the Yamaha FC7 should work with the Solaris. Unfortunately I'm not having such luck on my end. I've tried the two various polarities, and mentioned in the original forum listing I even tried swapping the tip & ring configuration of the 1/...

Re: Solaris Bug List

John, Any progress on the known bug list - it really would be very helpful to some of the users. And on a related note, we've been very patient waiting for a software update to fix some of the known problems (~2 years since last update), It's my understanding that some beta testing has been underway...

Sustain Pedal Global save issue?

John, Is there a known problem with the Pedal assignments Global Save? The Pedal assignments do not appear to be saved as "Global" (i.e. universal to all presets) as described in the manual. This is a very frustrating issue since pedal assignments should be global to the instrument (otherw...

Expression (Volume) Pedal Issue/Question

Hello John, I'm having difficulty getting my expression pedal to operate as a volume pedal with the Solaris. I'm using a Yamaha FC7 as the foot controller (a very common pedal I use across all of my keyboards). I've tried both tip & ring of the 1/4 phone jack as the wiper of the potentiometer, b...
