Re: New version of the OS ? Soon or not ?

Well I say that the focus should be on bug fixes. The Solaris - as it is right now - is a fantastically deep and complex machine. Surely no-one can seriously suggest that they have got to the point where it holds no more surprises for them. The creative potential is enormous. If the bugs were fixed ...

Re: Analog inputs - too quiet. Why? (Please!)

By the way, John, do you have any useful figures for assessing what might be a useful pre-amp to consider. I suppose really the question is "what level is the Solaris expecting?" Presumably pretty high, given that a high output device is still producing well short of the required level. I suppose it...

Re: Analog inputs - too quiet. Why? (Please!)

Oh, OK, thanks. I think I might try and get a little pre-amp somewhere down the road but that's for later. Really I just wanted to know if I was doing something obvious wrong! If it was possible to get it into the schedule for changes to be made I think it would be good perhaps... Thanks to Mambajim...

Analog inputs - too quiet. Why? (Please!)

Hello there - so, I thought I'd try putting my Analog 4 through the Solaris. But it was much, much quieter than the oscillators. So if I had a mixer with Ext. 1 for input one and an oscillator for input two I would have to put the level for the oscillator at around 10 and the Ext. 1 level at 63 for ...

Re: Arp. timing disrupted by "browsing" presets with data wh

Well, I reckon that if I could start an arpeggio going and browse a banks worth of presets without disturbing the timing that would be absolutely fine. Getting a patch from another bank - well, that could take a good few seconds without disrupting me too much really! So long as I had my one bank, th...

I think that sounds OK John. Can't think more at the moment - too tired - but that sounds reasonable to me, I think!

Re: Arp. timing disrupted by "browsing" presets with data wh

Thanks John - I think I'd prefer to have the preset names of an entire bank in a portion of memory if possible. (This may say something about my disorganised character, although I like to sell it as improvisational flair...)

Cheers.

Arp. timing disrupted by "browsing" presets with data wheel.

Hello. The subject says it really - set a basic arpeggio running, engage hold and then press Preset and spin the data wheel a bit, looking at other preset names but not actually loading them. The arpeggio timing is now messed up. When you stop moving the wheel it has a little "catching up with itsel...

Hello there - I hope this one is still getting some hefty attention and will, hopefully, be cured at the next update. Thank you!

Re: What power-adaptor for the Solaris?

Yes 19 Volts. There was not one around with 12 Volts and over 3A. AFAIK the Volts are flexible for the machine, meaning the unit draws that number of Volts that it needs... the A are to be aware of. This is not correct, the unit will draw the AMPERAGE it needs! I am in agreement with that - get the...

Excellent, thanks. Those all look really useful but with the stage I am at the preset namer will be very very useful indeed.

Thanks John. It's only happened twice but if it keeps happening and anything seems to be closely related I'll let you know.

Cheers.

Inappropriate voice stealing.

Hello there - I was just wondering if anyone has experienced this problem / bug/ whatever. Basically what happens is that somewhere in the process of working on a patch I notice that I'm only getting a couple of voices - press down a third key and the first note goes! Well, fair enough possibly but ...
