Re: Solaris vs Prophet-12

Hi folks, in general I aggree with the first post. The solaris sounds really quite a bit more differentiated than the prophet 12. The amount of parameters allows to create a wider range of timbres. On the negative side the solaris needs in spite of the six displays some editor to keep control and ov...

Re: Data Wheel

Hi John, thanks for your new considerations. Checked that out several times even this afternoon. I didn´t save those two settings and switched them manually, no problem. Each time I heard the pure synth sound without effects. Yesterday I played the synth as well and actual there was no muting. As I ...

Re: Data Wheel

Hi John, the first abnormality I recognized were undefined signs/characters on the oscillator display. They appeared steady while switching through different readouts. Just sent a picture of this phenomenon. The next day the synth hang up at the waldorf-wavetables-screen while booting. Only some reb...

Re: Data Wheel

Hi, the problem of the tumbling wheel is now fixed. The one in the new machine works fine. The people of the manufacturer were really nice and tried to help but the recommended removal of the wheel from outside for fastening the pot would not work without damage. So it took some time to find a solut...

Software editor

Hi folks, just worked some time now with the solaris. In summary, it would be the greatest effort if there would assist some editor to show the lots of parameters and modulation settings. As the machine owns unseen possibilities, it´s complexity is the main handicap too. To manage the basic settings...

Re: What power-adaptor for the Solaris?

Hi folks, I did not open the solaris yet, but the will surely be enough place in side to mount some high quality power supply in fixed installation. Got this theme with the dsi poly evolver as well and now that works fine. There are lots of synths with fixed installeed power supplies on this planet ...

Data Wheel

Hi folks,

just received my white solaris.

Feels great but only the data wheel seems to tumble on it´s axis.

Know a lot of other synths with data wheels, they are all stable in only rotating positions.

Is this right on this brand of synth? Thanx for fast replies.

Cheers
