Re: Announcing new Operating System, v1.4.0!

tested, it works :)
(i think user will need to be informed to go on system and put GVCurve, GACurve under 0% to see "preset")

Re: Announcing another major update to the Solaris Operating System, v1.4.0!

otherwise i will have to put advised vt curve in the preset name but it is a little sad
i tried to modify some presets without using it but it is really a headhash
specially for "electric pianos" preset types where velocity is already involved in a lot of modulations

Re: Announcing another major update to the Solaris Operating System, v1.4.0!

the fact vtcurve is not stored by preset anymore is a big deal for me

68 patches after one year on diluated use

It has been long time since last presets posts. My tries to make solaris sound good hasn't really end since then. Like last time, I let you count the gems :) NB : 1 / Volumes are not normalized and some patchs are very loud. 2 / I will post an other message to explain how to play some of them. (spec...

Playing sessions

Hi, I record every time I play with my solaris. http://www.skynext.org/zic Every solaris_direct* files are live played improvisation using my presets (30 files, actually, duration between 5 minutes and 90 minutes (average 24 minutes)) Sadly, the sound card recording the solaris is not terrible, but ...

Re: French review on audiofanzine

I always have my ob12, solaris seems like hdtv near it.
It's just ob12 has a "crazy/(buggy?)" side, where solaris is neutral.
I don't say one is better than other, it's just a different approach.

For obie filter, I was refering the a6 state variable filter that has a lot of color.

French review on audiofanzine

I published this review 3 weeks ago http://fr.audiofanzine.com/synthe-numerique/john-bowen-synth-design/Solaris/avis/r.127420.html primary due to the following comparison http://46.105.122.202/zic/moog_filter_solaris_vs_andromeda.wav (for each note, solaris first) in this one, I used solaris moog fi...

Re: 54 patches after 1 month of Solaris

Sorry for the volume problem. Patches containing "!" means lower the volume :) When sigma or log boost is used on multiple vca, 2 vcas having sigma same boost and same volume will not render the same volume when volume is lower than 100%, i don't know if it is normal and i don't know if it is relate...

Re: Virus & Z1 Legacy Collection

like the facts that
-btn1&2 modulates osc pitch +12 +7, that's so funny to push button :)
-using wavetable very low frequency (-60 and note -x modulation) to modulate pitch <= modulated by mod wheel
this facts open a new world of harmonic excitation

54 patches after 1 month of Solaris

Solaris is the only synth with a true private forum and a lot of space to store presets. Having consideration about community and the number of places to fill, i think it is a good idea that everyone can share their creations, even if it's not perfect. There are a lot of pads, because i am a pad lov...
