Re: Not transmitting MIDI?

Hi - check the MidiCtrl setting - make sure it is set to 'on". This is in the midi menu.

Re: Made nervous by MIDI problems I've read about

I find Midi sync to be rock solid with the latest release. Working with Cuabse, I've stress tested with multiple BPMs and drastic tempo changes and the Solaris held tight to the beat. There is also a convenient new "Auto" sync function that automatically senses external sync or uses the internal BPM...

Re: Max number of simultaneously notes parameter

Hmmm, now this is not something I’ve listed....that the freeze at the Waldorf screen had something to do with MIDI cables being connected! Is this a consistent behavior in your experience, jgale? For the record, yes, a freeze during boot up at the Waldorf screen is a common experience, and does no ...

Re: Max number of simultaneously notes parameter

The Solaris does not like a Midi loop when booting - it will cause it to hang at the Warldorf screen. If you can, try to eliminate the looping issue and you should be fine. I believe that John has this on the bug list. Tip - if you find the Solaris does not boot even after removing the Midi loop - y...

Re: Max number of simultaneously notes parameter

If you are in Unison mode - you can set the number of voices played when pressing a key. It is the UniVoice parameter after you press the Home button. If you are not in Unison mode, you should be able to play all 10 notes. If not - it could be a Midi loop problem. You can test this by disconnecting ...

Re: Send midi to Solaris

I could be a midi channel issue. Go into the Midi settings (press the More button 4 times and select Midi) and confirm that MIDICtrl is set to on and the Channel is set correctly. For a test you could set Omni to on - this will allow the Solaris to receive on any channel.

Re: Random LFO question

As a work-around I've used the following:

viewtopic.php?f=7&t=875&p=21126&hilit=random+lfo#p21349

Basically modulating a fast S&H LFO's rate to zero with a negative envelope. Works great for random pitch changes, subtle filter changes, panning, etc.

Re: Patch data over MIDI

Well, I am very upset that there is not a data dump for an entire preset - ridiculous in this day and age of MIDI! I know there are a lot of parameters (over 1250!) per preset, so doing one at a time is just silly. This is something that we need to change. This would be nice and helpful in creating...

Re: Announce when you receive your Solaris!

Serial # 255 just arrived in Chester New York and it’s a beauty! Here it is pictured on top of my Midiboard (Poly AT!) P1020934.JPG First off, the sound is just inspiring. Thick, fat, clear, organic –the filters sound fantastic. The Youtube and Soundcloud demos don’t do it justice. You just feel con...
