Re: Not transmitting MIDI?

Hi - check the MidiCtrl setting - make sure it is set to 'on". This is in the midi menu.

Re: Assign 1 & 2 LED status on Preset select

Agreed.

As an additional thought - you may want to also add extra "blank" parameter fields to the file format for future expansion. You could possibly use these for future parameters without having to change the file format.

Re: Assign 1 & 2 LED status on Preset select

As I think about it -what should the functionality be? If you have an Assign button LED on and change patches - should the patch read the switch status and act accordingly? Or - should the patch save the Assign status and turn the Assign LED on/off as you select the patch...

Assign 1 & 2 LED status on Preset select

John - here is a small one for you: - When you set a value to Assign button 1 or 2 and save the patch with Assign 1 or 2 on (light on) - it saves that status in the patch. - When you re-select that patch - it correctly plays the patch with the saved assign value (very cool), but the assign LED is no...

Re: Expression pedal mapping

Thanks John - this clears things up for me and adds a new dimension to the Solaris that I was unaware of. I am now doing crazy Edgar Winter filter sweeps and pitch bends with my expression pedal!

Re: Made nervous by MIDI problems I've read about

I find Midi sync to be rock solid with the latest release. Working with Cuabse, I've stress tested with multiple BPMs and drastic tempo changes and the Solaris held tight to the beat. There is also a convenient new "Auto" sync function that automatically senses external sync or uses the internal BPM...

Re: Crazy Ribbon : pitch going up 3-4 octaves after a few seconds

I would disconnect any midi to ensure nothing is affecting the Solaris from the outside. I would then run the self test and calibration routines to see if that helps. The steps are in the manual.

Other than that - it may be an issue for John to handle...

Re: New version of the OS ? Soon or not ?

I have a Yamaha (model unsure) Pol+, Ensoniq SW-5 Pol-, and a M-Gear (unsure of the model) Pol-. These are all the basic make / break contact variety with no electronics. I did some quick testing in OS 1.2.6 (you may already have this but in case you don't): All of the pedals work fine in edit mode....

Re: New version of the OS ? Soon or not ?

John - try these steps to reproduce: - Select Bank 0 Patch 25 "JB 4 OSC String Pad" - Starting on the highest key of the keyboard, play a fast descending C scale - You should hear all of the notes sustaining normally - Spin the data wheel quickly up and down to display different patch names and then...
