Re: DIGITAL LEVEL TOO HOT`

I don't see how it can be clipping the input to the motu. Well i get red lights on the motu's cuemixer and i can hear it clip.. - I use Solaris Digital Out to Hosa AES/EBU Converter, fixed everything. Solaris Digital Out to XITE-1 AES/EBU Input. It sounds bigger than straight 48k SP/DIF and you’ve ...

Re: DIGITAL LEVEL TOO HOT`

Thanks John. I'm curious to experiment with another soundcard to see if there's any difference in headroom but in the long run I'd rather not use two soundcards!

DIGITAL LEVEL TOO HOT`

Hi all, I've discovered once using the s/pdif out on my solaris that signal out can be too hot. It clips going in to my motu 828k3. I can fix it by turning all four mixers down from 127 to 99 on the solaris. Is there a way to do this globally, affecting all presets!? If not I'll be going back to ana...

S/P-DIF 96K NOT WORKING

Hi John,

I have only had success using the S/P-DIF output (to TOSLINK input) with my MOTU 828MK3 running at 48Khz. I would much rather run my interfaces at 96K. As soon as I switch to this I get no lock from the Solaris. Any clues?

Re: Announcing another major update to the Solaris Operating System, v1.4.0!

I had trouble with updating due to Mac usage as well. I think I had to edit the suffix of the doflash file as OSX changes it to .rtf instead of .txt. Change it back to .txt and it should work..

Re: Announcing another major update to the Solaris Operating System, v1.4.0!

"10) An extra parameter was added for the Osc modulation amount parameter when the destination is LinFM. This separated it from the amount parameter for Shape. Older presets will sound correct IF the destination is set to Shape. However, if the the preset uses destination LinFM, when the preset is l...

Re: v1.3.1 OS Upgrade released!

Hi all,

I can't seem to get past 1.3.0. My Solaris will not update! It doesn't initiate the update by the doflash method or enter at startup method. Pressing Enter is not getting me into any menus!

Help!

Thanks

Re: Arpeggiator sync

Doesn't sound like your solaris is actually sync'd to external clock. Have you changed that in midi settings?
