JBowen is a gentleman to a fault. i would say it's solaris that has a very strong character that i never heard in the virus...

i think tossing off the solaris as just another VA is a superficial assessent at best. as JBowen has explained elsewhere, the emulative features of the synth, OB & Moogish osc & filters, are there to give a starting point or familiar frame of reference, but where you go from there is up to y...

that resonant Moogish lead is outstanding. thanx for posting those pix & the video. i used to obsess over the rotors as my favorite part of Solaris. now i think it might be that feedback - brilliant!

i love the photos & am very happy to hear that Solaris got lots of attention! I'm desperately craving some NAMM 2010 videos - I love seeing John put Solaris through her paces. Hoping to see some videos up soon!

whoops. as a point of order, i had picked up on the 24/96 processing from another discussion thread. but just noticed this on the solaris page:

Internally, all operations are 32-bit floating point and audio signals and busses run at 96 kHz for pristine audio quality.
