Re: PAT test on Pro-Wave Plugin

....The idea would be to assign it to any control with a right click as it's now done for standard controllers. I'm not sure how you would assign it to a particular voice in a polyphonic setup. I assume the key which triggers the voice has its pressure value routed to that voice and it's associated...

A History of the Solaris

In the Facebook group called Solaris Synth, I've posted a bit on the 'history' behind the current Solaris product. I thought I'd post the discussion here for those who have not joined the group there, just for interest: Post #1 John Bowen on April 18, 2009 at 10:59am The Solaris was first developed ...

I assume this is also true of the A-50?

Eric,
Once you get your DSP card, let me know. I will make up a Demo version of the Solaris plug-in that adds PolyAT to the Mod Source lists, and you could then try it out before you purchase.

Hi Eric, I'm afraid Jimmy V. got things a bit confused in his enthusiasm! The keyboard version of Solaris does respond to Poly Pressure, but I've not connected that inside the Solaris plug-in. Actually, there seems to be a connection pad in the Scope library module that handles this, but I've never ...

Jimmy,
The CEM osc is already available in your RD series II modules.
Look for 'CEM Oscs-Pair II'.

While I gotcha here I was curious. With the 4 Oscillators on the keyboard will I be able to run a Rotor using a Waldorf Wave Oscillator and a Sample Oscillator, leaving the first 2 Oscillators separate? I didn't get a chance to check this out at NAMM as I was so overwhelmed with the sound. Yes, of ...

I agree with Septic Studio. If sound quality is to be compromised it's better to leave it at 96 KHz despite the extra voices. Given the fact that there are 4 analog outputs, it makes sense to have a 4 part multi-timbrality, no? Each part gets its own output and everyone is happy. John, the JP-8000 ...

a 48/96 internal switch would be okay i think, but I personally gonna favor the 96 HiQ output even if it costs some voices. Yes, but as I tried to explain, this would actually require different code inside, one set for 48 kHz, and another for 96 kHz. He would have to re-write much of the code, whic...

Yannis, At the moment, we are getting 3 voices per DSP, with the 6th DSP reserved for effects processing. So, this gives 5 x 3 = 15 voices currently. It may be possible to get 1 more voice out of the 6th DSP, but we haven't decided if that's the best way to go yet. The DSP is not dynamically allocat...

This function should be possible - I already made a note to the coders that the Unison Detune parameter needs to be updated in real time. At the moment, it requires a new note event to recognize any changes in the Detune, as the detuning is being processed in the voice assignment routine.

Jimmy,
Yes, I put up a place under the Data Files section here for that reason. If you look, there's 3 titles - Preset files, WAV files, and Other data files.
