I can see a 76 key semi-weighted synth keyboard that can double as a master controller (and maybe have some polyAT while we're at it?), but usually if you want an 88-key controller you are looking at a big, piano-weighted controller that is usually more suited for either stand alone or a workstation...

At NAMM, both Infinite Response (VAX77) and Rhodes Piano (MK 7 AM) demonstrated keyboards with polyphonic aftertouch. I wonder if there were any way possible to get one of those Poly AT sensing mechanisms into the Solaris, even as a custom option? In the meantime I was completely thrilled to see Pol...

I would think that the Solaris would have the Virus covered, wouldn't you agree? My sense, after some extended lilstening to a Virus TI, is that the Solaris will not be able to give you the same kind of character - the algorithms that produce the "Virus sound" are pretty different from wh...

I would think that the Solaris would have the Virus covered, wouldn't you agree? I think you may want to consider selling off the Virus and replacing it with a Solaris. I am in a somewhat similar situation with regard to space, and happen to already have room, but I would love it if the Solaris was ...

Mopho, Blofeld, etc. Great for the guys at home. These modifiers do nothing IMO. The second Sub in Mopho is a typical way to try and add fullness. Just one decent Sub would do the trick me thinks. Agreed. I was never one for subOSCs anyway, would rather have the actual OSC and tune it an octave down...

Last time I went to Vegas I couldn't find any blackjack tables on the strip- there was maybe one $25/50 table, several $100, and everything else was poker-something-or-other! But I understand the room rates are pretty good now....I am going to be there again in June '09. Scope- hope to see you at NA...

Actually, the basement is a bit more "intimate" than the main floor, where you are more at risk for sensory overload. A lot of cool stuff tends to be in the basement. To tell you the truth, last year's booth upstairs wasn't that bad, given the general cacophony of the Analog Haven bunch. T...

The specs look amazing.... I am very interested in how this synth is going to SOUND. Many people look for analog emulations (Prophet, CS-80, etc.) but the things I am looking for are that sonic "omphh" or "weight" and lack of aliasing at the top end. I am one of those people who ...

Infinite Response is planning on displaying their new VAX77 MIDI controller at NAMM, in fact they will be just slightly down the row from the Solaris at E1105. Mr. Bowen, you demoed the Solaris to me last year when you were stuck upstairs....unfortunately it was still in early development and many f...
