I move the joystick - and the bpm goes nuts
Here's what happens when i have a simple initial patch with the Arp on. I move the joystick - which isn't assigned as a modulation source - and the bpm goes nuts. I've tried this with internal clock and external. Same result. I've rebooted - same result. I've noticed it while going thru the new pres...

Re: Announce when you receive your Solaris!
Also, most everyone had complained about the shipping costs being so high with UPS, so we set up this contract with DHL. Obviously, it was less expensive for a reason (you do get what you pay for). I should have been more responsive with asking everyone whether or not they would pay the extra, and ...

Re: Announce when you receive your Solaris!
I didn't notice any physical damage despite a good sized "bow" in the flat part of the cardboard case. I think i now understand better why this "bow" in the flat part of the cardboard happend(s) to you and me too (and perhaps to other folks). I came across pictures of Solaris th...

Re: Synchro midi and Arp
Well, as i've said above - i have the same problem with the arp. However - i don't have the same problem with the lfo's. They are perfectly in sync with cubase. Strange, isn't it?

Re: Saving your Global INIT file
That's the thing. Setting it manualy on each bootup - adds another stage in the way to start playing. I think you'd agree it'd be better, simpler and more "elegant" to be able to set it once, globaly, and be done with it - than to set it each time after reboot.

Re: Saving your Global INIT file
So as i was saying in my first reply - it only leaves me with the option of going thru each and every preset, changing the s\p-dif to FXchan, and saving the specific preset - which is a lot of work...

"Crackling" sounds
I get these "crackle" sounds on each preset i play. It's like this since day1. What it is - is a "crackle\pop" sound that i get, that sort of resembles the sound of scratches on a vinyl record. No, it's not the same sound as when i move the encoders - which i understand is a diff...

Re: Saving your Global INIT file
I explain how to save the Global INIT file in my first post here above!!! What makes you think i didn't read - and follow your instructions? It just doesn't work on MY unit. Here's what i do: 1) Boot up the Solaris. 2) In one of the presets i go to the "Output" page. Set the "Out 1-2...

Re: Saving your Global INIT file
Then save your Global INIT file, and the output routing will stay at whatever you manually set it as you step through the Presets! I'm sorry but i don't know what's the "Global INIT file", nor have i found anything about it on the index in the manual - besides what's on pg 36. What i expe...

Re: CF card reader
Probably a stupid question - but i've ordered one of those "all in one" reader that's supposed to be compatible also for cf card. I got it - but the solaris's card doesn't fit any of the slots. Are there more than one size for a cf card? If so - what should i look for when i look in the re...

Re: Saving your Global INIT file
About that - there appears to be something which seems not to be a Global setting, and i'm talking about the outputs. I just got TOSlink cables and i manage to hear the Solaris thru my interface going into cubase and out to the monitors -and it sounds great (i've set cubase to 96khz, and the solaris...

Re: Announce when you receive your Solaris!
I noticed the volume knob on mine to be a little wobbly as well. Mine too. I didn't notice any physical damage despite a good sized "bow" in the flat part of the cardboard case Then you're lucky! I still don't understand this bit. They make a synth which is perfect in any aspect, the most...

Re: Several highlited preset names at once
That's cause I love Mixer feedback, Ring Modulation and soft clip distortion. Makes it into a FAT BASTARD. Also must compete with Marshall Anniversary stacks and older SVT cabs w/ ancient PBass's. Native synths can't even get in the mix really. They are too thin. But Solaris.........that Dog will h...

Re: Several highlited preset names at once
Zahush, I am honored to see my presets being used, I thought most guys liked Crickets and FX more, thanks. I do have more. If you want I can pm them to you as the second batch isn;t finished but I have around 6 more that are also FAT BASTARDS. They're my favourite presets so far. They are also, for...

Re: Synchro midi and Arp
I've experinced the same with my unit. It also shows this on the main screen. The BPM keeps changing. If i have my DAW set to, say, 127bpm - than Solaris will some time show 127, sometime 126, or even 128. It changes up and down every second or so. For comparison, my analog synths sync perfetly to m...
