Re: Outs 1/2 bug
There is a known bug in version 1.4.0.1 in which using the Compare function may mess up the modulation sources in a preset. It's possible that you've hit Compare and that changed the modulation source for pan in a VCA. If this is what's happening, please avoid using Compare for the time being. If yo...

Re: Announcing another major update to the Solaris Operating System, v1.4.0!
My apologies for the bug in the initial release that had to be pulled back. I missed it. It wasn't something that could be left in and fixed later. At least it's out for the holiday break.

Re: Modulation Sources List Messed Up in v1.4
Yes, this is fixed. John decided to call it 1.4.0.1 instead of 1.4.1.
Edit: And thanks for your help cLoudForest!

Re: would you be interested in SOLARIS editor ?
Yeah, I just removed it for a couple reasons. One is that it had a virus. (I got a better virus checker now) Also, Solaris 1.4.0 was found to have bug that we couldn't leave there so that got pulled down for the time being. So no sense in putting Solarium 0.11 back yet. Sorry and hopefully all will ...

Re: rnd tune no effect on a preset
Keep in mind that there is a global RndTune in the System section and also a per-preset RndTune in the Home section. If the per-preset is set to a value, that's the value that takes precedence. If the per-preset value is set to Global, then the current global value is used. If you have been trying t...

Re: would you be interested in SOLARIS editor ?
reno, I sent you a PM. Also, try to use a recent compiler version. I tend to use some newer features from C++11 and C++14 standards. (already three years old now!) Yesterday I updated Solarium to v0.11 to work with Solaris 1.4.0 system exclusive. So you'll want to get that newer code now. Although t...

Re: would you be interested in SOLARIS editor ?
I hate to hijack this thread since it’s not my thread, but I’ll be brief. Just to be clear, it’s version zero-point-ten. Not zero-point-one. The reason it’s not 1.0 is because it’s not at some point I could call finished due to the incomplete MIDI support of the Solaris. Sorry if you don’t like wire...

Re: would you be interested in SOLARIS editor ?
I happen to be using an older version of JUCE version 4.3.1 and the reason is I believe newer versions will cause the app to put up a splash screen and I didn't want that. I'm not sure but I thought that's what I read somewhere. You're probably going to need some proficiency in programming and figur...

Re: Developer Fund
My Solarium editor already does this. It starts at the output and traces backwards to find all modules that are participating in making the sound and it only displays those. And you can click on Enable Part buttons to see which modules participate in each part. It's particularly useful for quickly s...

Re: would you be interested in SOLARIS editor ?
Perhaps it could have been non-linear in some way. But it wasn't from the beginning.

Re: Screen display
I can see the point. So using the controls around the text displays would not bump you into edit mode. And you may not need a performance knob if you can just control a parameter directly. The tradeoff is that in order to get to edit mode you have to either press the Preset button or else one of the...

Re: control change
There are a couple of issues with using the performance knobs for this purpose. A performance knob and a CC controller are two different things. They are different functions and have different ranges for both the target and the value. A performance knob value has a range of -100% to +100% while a CC...
