Re: Saving your Global INIT file

Volume knob becomes detached when using TOSLink. Actually forces one to use a Meter inside of a DAW for Correlation and settings. I am using the XITE-1 DSP rack and rows of other SHARC DSPs like Solaris uses. This actually taught me alot about getting signals matched up as I use Analog hardware alon...

Re: Announce when you receive your Solaris!

Congrats. Your forum name most likely reflects the style you perform, and in that case this synth will bring home all of the Bacon. Been gigging with mine live for a while now, and there's no equal to this synth. Small things could use some fixing but there's nothing that can stop using this in a li...

Re: Help with transposing an older synth

I think the transpositions were not storable in the 1984 DX7 using the GM E upgrade.
It's been a long time but I believe I went with the DX7 II FD with the Grey Matter E for that very reason.
I could be wrong though....

Re: Several highlited preset names at once

That's cause I love Mixer feedback, Ring Modulation and soft clip distortion. Makes it into a FAT BASTARD. Also must compete with Marshall Anniversary stacks and older SVT cabs w/ ancient PBass's. Native synths can't even get in the mix really. They are too thin. But Solaris.........that Dog will hu...

Re: Several highlited preset names at once

Zahush, I am honored to see my presets being used, I thought most guys liked Crickets and FX more, thanks.
I do have more. If you want I can pm them to you as the second batch isn;t finished but I have around 6 more that are also FAT BASTARDS.

Re: Automating the Solaris using cubase?

I have a blast using Reaper and Bidule. Automation overdubs in realtime are incredibly fun. Switching back and forth using MIDI PrgmChng messages is even smoother than the live punch in method I am accustomed to. One could just go to Reapers website and download the free JD Plug Ins which have 3 awe...

Re: Solaris receives midi in and goes crazy

I did run into stuck notes oddly enough when automating CCs so i think this is a Repear notes on issue, but there is a MIDI Loop, that's for sure, as I have active sensing disabled in the Hardware Routing Filters. Day off on Monday and I will reset MIDI FIlter so BCF > Solaris will kill the Loop if ...

Re: Solaris receives midi in and goes crazy

FWIW I should explain my rig. 88 note 4 zone MIDI Controller, and Solaris use a hardware merge box into the BCF 2000. MIDI Out A from BCF > into a hardware router > S|C XITE-1 and MIDI In of the SE-1X. Then I tested the MIDI B Out of the BCF 2000 into Solaris MIDI In. Depending on the Controllers Mo...

Works on my PC just fine, but I prefer MIDI from PCI-e/PCI.

Re: Reverb....

Especially with the Feedback paths and the AP Filters. I have sort of a single voice version of Solaris in Modular, as I cannot make the patch any bigger, it takes up the entire project window as it is, in Scope Modular IV. But I have been trying all sorts of tricks in Solaris and in Modular IV to t...

Re: Karplus Strong

I have made a couple of really nice presets based on your models. Thanks for your excellent work. I have a really decent sounding Leslie Guitar that sounds exactly like Steve Howe's counterpoint during the song And You And I. Really surpising, but I do run Solaris rthrough a new Leslie Studio 12. Mu...

Well let's get to the point,.......how much, and is PayPal OK to use.
Love it, someone with talent and time and technique.
At least tell him to send me an email and a price JB, I have no problems paying for quality.
THis guy was making patches in his head before Solaris arrived.
