Hi everyone! I'm back in my hotel now, after another full day with the Sonic Core guys and my new business partner, Goffe Torgerson. I can tell you a little bit about what we're doing....one of the decisions we're now making is regarding the look of the graphics. Look for a new logo and slightly dif...

Hello all serial number counters! :) Currently I am in Germany with the design team, and we are discussing some new options that I didn't have before. Things are looking (and sounding) better than ever! However, if I take some of these new options, it will add another month at least to the delivery ...

There are a couple of sources I've seen, such as Kid Nepro's. I've never looked into what it would take to estimate what values are represented in the original presets of some synth and apply it to approximate the same values in a new product, but I can see that people might be attracted to that (es...

Jimmy, Actually....the original Prophet VS waveshapes were 12-bit, and the 'grunge' character was part of the sound (produced by the method of interpolation used). We have discussed what to do about this - provide a smoother sound as you mention, or produce it in a way to accurately emulate the orig...

Elie, Thank you for your nice words here in the Forum! What I'm trying to do with the Solaris is provide a platform that contains a number of elements drawn from both past and present - obviously, the Prophet legacy is most appropriate given my history. But in my estimation there's a lot more to it ...

urge, OK, I'll check into it! Thanks, eveyone, for your feedback. Still awaiting updated pricing for the LuxPad, which will definitely have an impact on our decision. It seems the vote is pretty much split here between the two, although my personal mail feedback leans much more towards the joystick....

Casar, Thank you for the nice words! Certainly at the moment I'm completely focused on getting the hardware Solaris finished. Future plans are not well-formed yet, but the new XITE box brings so much more power, it's very tempting to see what can be done for it. I'd also like to bring out other hard...

I like the orange better, but I think it will be even better if you put the circle with the wavy lines in the "O" letter in sOlaris. :) Something like these? http://www.johnbowen.com/images/IMG_4006_4.jpg http://www.johnbowen.com/images/IMG_4006_10.jpg http://www.johnbowen.com/images/IMG_...

Yannis, Yes, the LFOs in Solaris have the following parameters: Shape, Rate, Phase, Retrigger, Offset, Delay Start, Fade-In, Fade-Out, Rate Mod path, & Depth Mod Path, MIDI Clock. All modulation amounts at the destinations are bi-polar, so you don't need to create an inverted LFO at the source. ...

It would be the "phase shift network" that you mentioned. The simplest thing is to use a delay for each "phase output", so it would be fairly easy to put together such a module (as long as you tie together perfectly the LFO frequency and the delay time). I've sent a request about...

In my G2 patch two LFOs are retriggered by a third LFO, i.e. the LFOs are synchronized.... Can't you also just set each LFO to the same BPM/MIDI Clock setting for rates? Then they should all be "sync'ed" in frequency (at least, that would be the case in Solaris). I don't know if it will b...
