Could this be done?

This is highly unlikely, but i was wondering if, if multitimbral is ever done, could there be a "1 voice many channels" mode. that is only 1 voice is selected, but each MIDI channel has its own separate note, pitch bend and other controllers. This is purely for selfish reasons, because i h...

Inputs as mod sources, DC coupled?

I noticed in the specifications that the inputs can be mod sources, does this mean they are DC coupled? that would be quite useful!

Re: Solaris Module?

...The other way around is probably not the same, maybe you could add DSP for a "even smaller than XITE-D" so people could connect to DAW and get a taste of scope plugs after permanent Solaris output. Well, this is really not possible (and besides, the Solaris has more of the faster DSPs ...

Re: Solaris Module?

if such a thing was ever made, it would need PC and OSx software, and someone to do it. it would have to be nice, not like those (ahem) things you can buy extra for programming DSI evolver etc.

Re: Solaris Module?

Isn't that kind of like an XITE-1 D with solaris plugin, ... Uh, except the Solaris plugin is based on 12 year old code for the most part, and is not designed to take advantage of 96 kHz rate, so the sound quality is not as high, plus you don't get as much polyphony with the XITE-1 D and the Solari...

Re: Solaris Module?

Isnt that kind of like an XITE-1 D with solaris plugin, and maybe a self customized MIDI controller (one with a display) one like the virus TI sort of format, with all of the displays and knobs would be cool i guess, but it aint gonna happen if the circuit board is bigger than 16.5 or so inches long...

Re: Bought out by Korg joke thread

It would kind of suck if it was true, imagine the solaris with 1 software update and then abandoned, like Korg and Roland synths usually are.

Re: Happy 2011, Year of the Solaris

It only took about 3 months between XITE-1 showing up in some stores "not in stock" before you could get one, and i saw solaris on a store a couple of weeks ago.

Re: Sample Oscillator

Once it is "set in stone" the writers of Awave or something like that might be persuaded to add conversion and create the text file, if some solaris owners were to buy it, they convert to some pretty obscure things already.

Re: Or you could spend $5000 for this:

If you want "real analog" (which does have its place of course!)
For that much you could get a nice synthesizers.com modular, and be able to do a lot more with it. and buy(or build) lots of other cool modules as needed.
oh but its not moog!

Re: New Howard Scarr Demo Piece

Thanks!, i loved the hawkwindy birdy noises, those are usually quite hard to make any good on a digital synth.
did he use his own samples for any of it? or was it done "stock" ?
