Re: French review on audiofanzine

I had the A6 for a while and sold it as I was very annoyed with the aliasing and the lack of smooth filters. I know two other users in France who did the same as I did and sold their Andromeda for the same reasons. Nice synth the A6, but sonically very disappointing. As for using a Solaris to play t...

Subtitles (sous-titres) for MusicTrack Japan's demo

If you go to the YouTube channel of MusicTrack Japan, you can see the demo of the Solaris made by Ujiie-san. Of course, not everyone speaks Japanese! SW Creative Japan created the English subtitle SRT file and I translated it into French. You can download both SRT files here and use them with the MP...

I made a donation to Toby as this is extremely good work he's offering us. Every Solaris owner should download and donate to thank him.

For sale on eBay UK

Don't know who's selling his, but there is a Solaris on eBay UK. So for somebody who's thinking of buying, there may be a bargain to be had.

replace co.uk with com, de, it, fr... to display the auction in your language.

Re: Pedals win used as Mod Sources

It can wait until the next OS update so new features can be documented, but, besides corrections, there are portions of the manuals which could do with more detailed explanations. The questions I asked you when translating the manual are representative of what could be improved. No offense to the wr...

Re: Current owners - joystick question

Leave as is. I disagree with the SoS review, no need for a spring loaded model. Plus, it's useful to be able to leave the joystick in a given position.

Re: New review in Sound on Sound magazine

I love this passage: "One of my earliest attempts was an emulation of my Taurus pedals. I got close, and then wondered what would happen if I switched on the Unison mode and detuned the voices. Bloody ’eck! If Beelzebub played bass, that’s the sound he would use". Now, since John is a bass...

Re: Windows USB Device Drivers

That's fascinating. I didn't know there was a limit of 10 MIDI USB devices Very bizarre as it's a limitation that has existed since Windows 98, so not new, and yet Microsoft have never bothered to fix this. And it's far more annoying now, with more machines giving you the option to send MIDI via US...

Re: Windows USB Device Drivers

One important thing to keep in mind with Windows and MIDI drivers. You are limited to having 10, numbered from mid0 to mid9 in the registry. 10 seems quite a lot doesn't it ? However, you soon realise that you can easily reach that limit, because each time you plug a USB MIDI instrument on a USB por...

I'm sure Jordan would cater for everyone's taste if you ordered 10 and asked for 6 with the logo in the middle and 4 with the logo in the bottom corner !
