Hi John, It may be a bit late for requesting additional functions in Solaris, but I thought I'd try anyway. :D It may be too late for v1.0, but there's always the next update we have to plan  According to the specifications Solaris has 5 LFOs. Lately I've thought that this is too few. One use...

I agree that orange would be nice on the SE version. For those who might wonder about these references to a Special Edition (SE) version - here's the graphic I sent out to those who pre-purchased early on, who will be receiving a sort of Special Edition version in appreciation for their early suppo...

Yes, well....that is the easy giveaway :D Also...re: Solaris - this is not strictly an emulation of a CEM filter (it's not in there yet), but the main MultiMode filter in Lowpass 4 pole (24 dB slope) mode. I just wanted to call it that for the test's sake. 8) So...no 'slop' parameter in the Solaris ...

Hi All:
Another little test - this time, you have a 50/50 chance guessing which is which, since there's only 2 examples.
One of these is the Solaris, and the other is a Rev3 Prophet 5.
CEM 1
CEM 2
Here's both of the files, one in each ear:
CEMs together

I know it's still a bit early but do you have any sound designers in mind who will be creating patches for the Solaris? confidential at this time? Yes, absolutely! I've already contacted those who helped create some of the 500+ patches for the Solaris plug-in, and a number of other well-known sound...

Modulating the sample start point is spec'ed for the Solaris, but I don't have that in this latest OS. That's something I've had in my product design back to the Prophet 2000 days...however, that is not the issue I'm discussing, but rather, frequency modulation at audio rates from any source (includ...

There's 2 new audio examples (sound FX type) I've posted on the Solaris info page. It's using 1 Rotor and each oscillator with a different tuning and waveshape. The first example is just playing the patch on a single key (monophonic), and the second one is a polyphonic example. Please go to http://w...

The original series? It was a monthly column I wrote over a 2 year period (and of course was translated for me by Rheinhard Schmitz). As far as I know, it was never published on the Internet. I have most of the original text in English, but unfortunately, not all of it, as I had a major hard disk cr...
