Re: Current State of the Solaris OS and Ongoing Development

HI Dawman, Strangely, i own the quadra merge midi solutions, i'll try thru that if it can solve my problem but i doubt the sync issue can be fixed with a merger, perhaps the stucks note. I don't have the Qu NExus box, wich can perhaps be the solution. But i don't want to buy another tool because the...

Re: Current State of the Solaris OS and Ongoing Development

The only annoying issues i have are midi stuck or midi sync problems, so i don't use midi anymore and wait for an OS update, i know those things are on the list.

Re: Hi forum readers, Solaris owners and waiting listers

Hi M-Prod I try to answer that point after point : " it's easy to automate the solaris from my daw" : it's not very easy if you want a complete automation, but you have on the Solaris five CC you can allocate to any midi signal then with those five CC you can modulate anything on the synth...

Re: New version of the OS ? Soon or not ?

It's a truth that there are only a few bugs on the actual OS of the Solaris, but some of them are very frustrating for me. The two midi bugs are really annoying ( perhaps is it only one bug with two consequences ). It's a fact that with those bugs i can't use my Solaris in the way i would wish : in ...

Re: Strange behavior of the comb : tube filter

Thank you John, you explain it very well. So it´s not a bug....only a consequence of the way polyphony is managed on Solaris. That´s not the first time i get trap because of that.....remember me the s/h problem. The truth is it´s the first time i have a synth working like that, but it´s the first ti...

Strange behavior of the comb : tube filter

Hi everybody, I was trying to explore the comb filter and i found something strange : 0. Unplug midi if you have to. 1.Reset the solaris to be sure. 2. Begin with the usual John's Init Patch. 3. On the filter 1 section, choose : Type : Comb Mode : Tube Cutoff : 0 Res : ( 37% ) but it's not necessary...

Re: Pre-sale: the 50 unit goal

Yes, we could have expect more for a machine of this quality.
But with the system of prepayment 250 Is not so bad.
I hope that in the future you Will find investors : when a shop has the solaris in stock, it seems they
Sell it very quickly.

Re: "Legato" behavior

OK John i have found a way to reproduce the bug. It makes no sense for me but it always function ( i tried 10 times and i obtain it 10 times ) Restart your unit Begin with the usual init patch : Choose : Play mode : mono Legato : Reassign EgReset : Running On the EG 6 Decay : 600 ms Sustain : 20 all...

Re: "Legato" behavior

Hi John, do you know if this problem will be fix in next OS ? ( i know it's on the list ) I'm acutally working on Monophonic Timbre ( Moog Like ) and i have to restart my unit every hour to avoid it. In polyphonic mode it is less embarassing of course. If you want i can make a video of the problem i...

Quantize CV would be nice

All in the title but i explain a little more : It would be nice if the CV ( LFO, EG, etc ) could be send thru a quantizer. It could be put in the same section than the Lag etc.... It could be name quant and contains : In : choose the LFO or the EG Attenuator : -100 to 100 ( important because of *** ...

Re: S/H on LFO is not really random

John, you are right, when i reboot my unit the note is always the same. If i play some minutes with a sound with LFO , i have the seven notes sequence in sort of inpredectible way when i try again. I'll wait for an update and hope you can implement a cv retrigger on the S/H LFO. Thank you very much ...
