Re: Karplus strong

Thanks Zahush I thought of that, but then as you say Ken said he didn't use KS so I can't check his sounds for how to use it! Thanks JB. I agree that the comb filter doesn't sound quite right, not as fattened or hollowed out as others Ive used (like the one on the octatrack for example). On the OT t...

Karplus strong

Any advice on creating a tuned karplus strong sound. I've had a play with the comb filters and the delay effect with the spdif output returned to a second filter. I couldn't think of another way to route to sound post effects back into the filter but as I write this I wonder if setting up a loop wit...

Re: Poly Pressure / T8 versus MidiBoard

I too think this is quite reasonable. The Access model seems to be produce revenue by sales of upgraded kit, producing free software upgrades. I'd rather pay for software upgrades and avoid loss of residual value in the hardware by new hardware versions producing income. I already do it for softsynt...

Re: Notes stuck using Ableton

Hi John. I've been getting the same thing sequencing the S via a cirklon. It seems to be an issue when the S is set to accept midi control, local control is off and the S is routed back to itself via the cirklon to allow freehand playing.

Re: Seq on/off per filter

Thanks John. I'll experiment when I get back to the machine in a couple of days. Sounds promising though. I should have read the manual more carefully. Many apologies.

Seq on/off per filter

Not sure if this is possible. I had imagined fading in different parts one at a time including one or two based around sequencers a-d. Unfortunately all of the envelopes seem to re-trigger. Therefore if the attack is nice and long for a slow build you don't hear the note at all. This makes slowly bu...

Re: Announce when you receive your Solaris!

I don't understand why there is that 'owners section' division. I realise that there are probably bugs in the OS and annoyances but my guess is that there is more inspiring chatter than negative chatter. To stop prospective purchasers from seeing what owners are saying is almost certainly a negative...

Re: Announce when you receive your Solaris!

Goodness Mr Galaxies. You wait 3 years, tell us it's arrived. Show us a picture and then nothing. Has it fallen on you and you''re stuck under it? Come on, give us some feedback!

Re: Announce when you receive your Solaris!

I've just heard from Thomann that they have been told they won't have it from their supplier until the 15th May at the earliest. It then of course needs to be processed by them and onto me. So I'd be lucky to get it before June, even if it works out according to plan. I would guess that represents t...

Re: Announce when you receive your Solaris!

Any idea John when the German distributor will get theirs and when they might hit Thomann?

Thanks

Re: Solaris - Great Britain - anyone managed it?

I better pray that Thomann comes through with the goods then!

When will you have finished this run and any idea when run 3 might be?

Hope the sausages and beer are good.

All the best!

Re: Announce when you receive your Solaris!

Vorsprung durch technik

Happy news indeed. I wonder how long it will take to get to someone on the second run who has ordered via Thomann?

Where did I put that reindeer attractant?
