Re: Solaris Vrs. 5.0.8 BETA
Hello Hein, Yes, this is a known problem by Sonic Core - the numerous connections that I use in my bigger plugins (for all of the various modulation paths, etc.) is too much for the XITE system to properly handle. It's something we discussed back when the XITE was first released, but unfortunately,...

Re: Solaris Vrs. 5.0.8 BETA
Sonic Core told me that you no longer need the VxD files, and that the error, if it continues to pop up, really doesn't cause any problems, and that users should just ignore it. Perhaps Gary B. could add something more to the discussion - on my part, I don't know why the Solaris would be generating...

I hear some kind of "Jan Hammer´s - The 1st 7 days" tubular bell tones beginning @ 0:34, formerly done w/ Rhodes and Bode Frequency Shifter.
Pretty authentic !
Nice textures too ...

5) Most presets where Chorus, Reverb and Delay are disabled suck. This ! Other than that, they are great synths... :P  Tomorrow I have the Hybrid Waldorfs and FAT BASTARDS Monophonic/Seperate Oscillator Lead Stuff. Can´t wait ! You audio demos above are incredible. You run Solaris into XIT...

Re: development outside
As for the Multitimbre and voice allocation - I discuss our plans for multi timbre function somewhere else on this forum, so I won't repeat myself here, but you will basically have some user selected voice allocation for each of the 4 parts. Talking multi timbrality and voice allocation,- does that...

Re: development outside
But then I went to a 4 Guitar/Drummer stage, and the CS80 was buried, no thick Monophonic capabilities, Ankyuvarymush. True. When I said "CS80 sounded significantly different compared to the US synths" it was all about the CS80 is truely a thin sounding synth and it´s strength was poly AT...

Re: development outside
There are plans for more modules, yes...but as to when, I really cannot say. It will take longer than I first thought, I suspect. As to specifically a 'Roland' or 'Korg' sound - so far no one has ever requested such - only a version of the Yamaha CS-80 filter block, which we have analyzed a bit alr...

Re: Sample transposition
And here is the ancient sample from the Emulator II I used over and over in Oberheim DPXs, and latter the Roland S760. They actually sound better in Solaris.... http://soundcloud.com/jimmyvee/solaris-sample-osc-arp-string Jimmy,- your sound demos kill ! I never had the idea Solaris plays EII /DPX-1...

Re: SOLARIS EXPANDER / EXPANSION - WISH :)
MIDI CC is not really a problem as Solaris already use NRPN messages rather than simple MIDI CC. NRPN provide more than 16000 possibility so it should be enough. Transmitting one preset from the Solaris keyboard to an external rack would take 1 second. O.k., didn´t know that and then it might be ea...

Re: SOLARIS EXPANDER / EXPANSION - WISH :)
My personal 1999 € / $ 2500 estimate was based on including 25% of the total cost for such cost. Don´t forget EUR 1999.- would be incl. VAT in europe and it would be probably the suggested retail price too. But if you make it more expensive, the price difference between Solaris keyboard and the rac...

Re: SOLARIS EXPANDER / EXPANSION - WISH :)
Personally, I am quite interested by a Solaris expander because: - more affordable because of sparing on keyboard and UI - easier to integrate here as I do not have place for another keyboard - easier to carry when moving around Confirmed,- so when it comes it will be welcome. But the Xite could al...

Re: SOLARIS EXPANDER / EXPANSION - WISH :)
Yes, of course, the polyphony assignment is programmable per each MultiSet! We have to add a new object to the data structure (MultiSet or Multi or Combi or?) that holds a number of parameters for each Part - Tuning, Octave, MIDI Channel, Program Number, Voice Allocation, Level, Pan, High Key/Low K...

Re: SOLARIS EXPANDER / EXPANSION - WISH :)
Regarding what John described as the options to share polyphony among the 4 multi parts, I don't think only one of these options would be available but rather all of them to let you set your multipatch polyphony mapping as you will (with same patch on all notes of one DSP rule: currently 2 notes, m...
