Hi John, thanks for the reply. Can you please tell us if you are in a stage where you are actually refining things perhaps? Also, if I place an order here on the site, do I get my unit directly from you or perhaps from Germany? I am asking this because I don't want to go through the customs procedur...

John, can you please tell us if any of the filters in the Solaris self-oscillates? If so how does it handle the resonance buildup close to 12 KHz? Do the filters use oversampling internally or is there something like a soft compressor to keep the buildup well-behaved? Also can you please tell us how...

Up till now I haven't heard a demo that was really good - they weren't crap but not something to die for. YMMV as always. I am sure that once people get the Solaris, they will start making Moog and SCI sounds and everyone will complain soon afterwards about not sounding close. I don't think that the...

I agree with Septic Studio. If sound quality is to be compromised it's better to leave it at 96 KHz despite the extra voices. Given the fact that there are 4 analog outputs, it makes sense to have a 4 part multi-timbrality, no? Each part gets its own output and everyone is happy. John, the JP-8000 h...

Some more info please...

Hello all, John can you please tell us what will the polyphony be in the Solaris? Is this dependent on patch complexity? Is there some way of seeing how much DSP power each patch consumes? Also what is the multi-timbrality? Do you have some sort of dynamic voice allocation between the patches? Is it...

Ouch :?

John, I don't mean to be dis-respectful here but for that price it had better be an excellent synthesizer in every aspect. For me, anyways...

Hi stardust, here is a link of an mp3 that I posted a while back. It's still a work in progress and has two versions, one is non-processed and the other has a Thermonic Culture Vulture to give it some more harmonics. http://www.electro-music.com/forum/topic-28742.html This one has the on-board effec...

European :) I would not use this category. Andromeda had pretty quickly signature Banks from Sounddesigners all around the world (including Europeans :D ) Now Solaris is designed in germany (which is in the middle of Europe) and comes from a native american but international mastermind. It comes wi...

Hello, first of all I need to apologize for my "I *DO* insist" phrase, maybe it was a little too much. However, I did explain why I think it is important to have a wide variety of patches. However, since JB said that he is not so worried about having sounds for dance/techno, then I suppose...

Well, I am sorry but I think this thread I started needs a bump. :D From the few examples I have heard here and there on the Internet and without having any vis-a-vis experience with the Solaris, I think that it sounds American... Not that this is a bad thing, but up till now I haven't heard any &qu...

John, in NAMM 2009 there were two versions of the Solaris. From what I can tell of the photos they said "Limited edition". Will both of these be available for purchase or the mass-produced version will be different? Also, is there a possibility to purchase the Solaris from somewhere in Eur...
