Hi John,

thanks for the rendering! I compared this one and the prototype and there are more buttons, the joystick and the ribbon controller.

What other changes are there?

Yannis

European patches

Hi all, John I wanted to suggest that once the Solaris is released, you might want to hire some European programmers to make a couple of banks for it. When the Andromeda was released it had all kinds of American patches and when people went to a store to try it, they didn't have the chance to find w...

John,

can you please tell whether the Solaris that will be shown in the 2009 will be the finished product? Any images of its final layout yet?

Regards,
Yannis

In fact this red color in the logo is so good, that I would definitely consider painting all of it red - with white lines. Now that would be striking. Basically since Solaris is the latin word for Sun, I'd probably put something ... bright. :D If that's not possible - then a deep red light in the O ...

John,

very nice to hear that the LFOs provide all these parameters. I am starting to have a GAS here!

And yes, the Solaris logo in these new pics is very good. Exactly what I had in mind.

I agree that orange would be nice on the SE version. For those who might wonder about these references to a Special Edition (SE) version - here's the graphic I sent out to those who pre-purchased early on, who will be receiving a sort of Special Edition version in appreciation for their early suppo...

Extra LFOs are definitely a plus and maybe they are not so difficult to implement. For instance, in many PWM pads, you have a triangle LFO modulating one OSC and another LFO with inversed polarity modulating the other OSC. An inverted LFO can be produced by multiplying the frequency of the first LFO...

Yes, I was reffering to the transition. Also is it sine to saw or sine to saw to tri to pulse to whatever?

'Morphing' sine-to-saw or sine-to-square (as in the plug-in) Cool! Can it be modulated? If so, is it glitch-free? Talking about supersaws reminded me of a flaw that the JP-8000 has. It's filter self-oscillates but in doing so it consumes all the available headroom and under specific settings it cli...

SuperSaw is good news for me, too. Even with one OSC is sound thick (well this is what SuperSaw algorithms are for).

Hi John, thanks for the reply. Good to know about the SP/DIF in/outs. Will these be optical or coaxial? What will be the sampling rate? 48 or 96? I am asking this because you said that the internal signal in Solaris is all 24/96KHz and probably you are going to need 2 digital outputs (each one with ...
