Multisample

It would be nice if a more comprehensive multisample playback could be implemented. Currently we can assign only one sample to an oscillator. It would be nice for all parts of a multisample could be played via one oscillator.

Re: Multisample Sample Pools

Ah. I've just been through the videos that John made regarding sample playback. It appears that the Solaris will only do multisamples with a limit of 4. This is done by assigning each of the samples to separate osciallators. So the lowkey and hikey values really only limit the range of which a sampl...

Multisample Sample Pools

Hi all, Still enjoying the new firmware and have finally come back to looking at the sample playback part of the machine. I'd like to be able to do multi-sample playback. For those who don't know, this is where a range of keys will play a different sample from the pool. The manual says this can be d...

Re: Preset data locations

Having the freedom to pop out the CF Card and move patches around is pretty cool. Move companies should take this approach.

Re: Preset data locations

He John, Yes I was talking about the CF Card. What appeared to be happening is that the patches on Bank 20 were being saved into the parent Patches folder and not under a Bank name folder. And if I were to save a patch into the other non-continuous bank (30) it would also write into the parent Patch...

Preset data locations

Hi all, I must say I am enjoying a much better functioning Solaris due to the firmware updates. I was trying out the Solaris Patch name editor and could not find a few banks I had created. So I looked at the files on the chip to find there was no Bank 20 and 30. I used bank 20 just as a place for a ...

Wrong Sustain Pedal as modulator

Hi all, I am using the sustain pedal as a modulation for VCA3. This is so I can turn it off and on using the sustain pedal. The issue is the sustain pedal that I have plugged in registers as sustain pedal 1 when acting as a sustain pedal but comes up as ped2 as a modulator. Using ped1 has no affect....

Re: New version of the OS ? Soon or not ?

Personally I'd like the midi clock sync to work solidly and sample playback.

Address full midi note range via a modulator

Hi all, Topic says it all really. I want to use my Beat Step Pro to control individual oscillators. I can't assign different midi channels to the oscillators in the Solaris which is how I would have done it. So my thinking was to change the midi notes coming from the BSP and assign them to midi CCs....

Individual MIDI channels for Oscillators & sequencers

Hi John, Still having fun with my Solaris. 1) Just playing around today with doing some external sequencing. And thought came to me that it would be nice if I could control each of the four oscillators separately via MIDI. Thoughts were simply to have a midi starting channel eg: 4 and this would be ...
