Re: Solaris receives midi in and goes crazy

Yes, this has always been an area for confusion. I think we should probably not have used 'Off' in the parameter name, just 'Local'. Read this from an online description: "LOCAL ON/OFF : MIDI Channel Message that sets whether your keyboard is going to trigger its internal sounds (Local ON) or ...

more modulation destinations

There are numerous options on Solaris, no doubt. And perhaps i've missed something - but is it possible to modlate the effects (not the insert fx). For example modulating the delay rate (like on dsi synths), or chorus rate or depth, etc etc?

Re: Solaris receives midi in and goes crazy

So this could be a configuration problem instead of a bug. Also look at the localoff feature in the Solaris manual. Local off is off. It comes this way as a factory default. Also look at the edit i've made to my post. Didn't work 100% - but certainly an improvement. But LocalOff should be on if you...

Re: Solaris receives midi in and goes crazy

Ok folks. I think i found the cause for my problem (and the solution). So far its working. I'll need to try and see wether this works with usb as well. It seems that there ARE special settings in cubase for when you use the same synth both as a controller and as a soundsource at the same time. There...

Re: display screens gets weird like "##@`!!!!"

I wonder if all these bugs that were described in the last couple of weeks are just of the 2nd batch - or 1st one as well.
I've seen that the sample loop bug is only 2nd batch related.

Re: Solaris receives midi in and goes crazy

Ok. So here goes. I've had problems when the Solaris is connected both with midi out and in. It seems it's ok as a controller, but gets messed up when it comes to midi in. So i tried disconnecting the midi out cable, and only then hitting "play", with midi coming into the Solaris. The Solar...

Re: Solaris receives midi in and goes crazy

Have you tried sequencing the Solaris? Or are you playing everything live?
Try sequencing it from your DAW.
Anyway, my situation is that i want the Solaris as my master keyboard, and so there's midi coming out and midi coming in.

Sorry it's not clear in the manual - good point.
Ha! Thanks!
It works. So simple.

Re: Solaris receives midi in and goes crazy

Just had a nice session. I decided to dsconnect everything - and rewire and set up from the begining.
It went well and i was able to sequence the Solaris with cubase, and also control my other synth using the midi thru.
It behaved as it should for about 15 minutes, and then it started again

Vibrato thru aftertouch?

All the init patches have the v-lfo triggered by the modwheel. However, i encountered several presets that the vibrato was triggered via aftertouch. I personally find that more comfortable. So anyway, i tried duplicating the settings of these presets but it didn't work. Any idea how it could be done...
