Re: latch mode for the sequencer?

Hi John- yes, I'd just like to be able to trigger the envelopes without triggering a voice. The ribbon thing would be nice but really I'm thinking of an "ever mutating patch without human intervention" scenario where the envelope was triggered, for example, by a particular output level fro...

Re: latch mode for the sequencer?

Oh, OK, thanks. I find that for protracted burbling and gurgling it's quite good to have a slow BPM, the arpeggiator in locked mode, usually with a single note going, with an eight bar step setting and with the sequencer at a 32nd note setting. Thus the slow arpeggiator simulates having a key pressed...

Re: latch mode for the sequencer?

Well, I would very wholeheartedly second the request for sequencer latch mode. The other things requested above I could manage without but that latch mode - well, that really would be handy...

Re: Analog Inputs as CV Inputs

Thanks for that - over 10 volts, eh. I kind of feel a bit nervous about that, although probably for no good reason! Presumably someone in the manufacturing team must actually KNOW what it was designed to use! Please tell us!! :D

Re: Analog Inputs as CV Inputs

You know, I'd be really interested to know what is a safe voltage range for the Solaris to handle. I mean - just because it works doesn't necessarily mean that it isn't causing some damage, does it? I don't really know but I'd like to be sure. So - what is the correct voltage range to use? Plus and ...

Shape parameter for pulse wave

Hello - so, I was trying to use Osc 2, slowed right down to a frequency of about 1 hz, in the role of an LFO modulating the pitch of Osc 1. I was just going to use the pulse wave on Osc 2 and then modulate its shape from a "real" LFO to get the change in duty cycles than I would expect. Bu...

Re: Strange behaviour re. modulation OSCs 2,3 and 4

When I say "everything" I mean everything in this tiny corner of the massive, wondrous thing that is the Solaris.

Re: Strange behaviour re. modulation OSCs 2,3 and 4

Hi Zahush 76. It's really not a big worry - everything works and it's easy to understand the very slightly odd behaviour.

Re: Strange behaviour re. modulation OSCs 2,3 and 4

Hello - thanks for replying. I completely agree with you - it does not cause problems but it gives you another thing to look for! I hadn't noticed same thing with the VCFs but I shall look out for it now.
'bye.

Strange behaviour re. modulation OSCs 2,3 and 4

Hello - please could someone tell me what, if anything, I'm doing wrong here. Start off with an "INIT" patch. So - you get an oscillator and choose a source to modulate it with - e.g. source 1. Set the source as an LFO - let's keep it simple and say LFO1. Have destination as "Off"...

Re: Announce when you receive your Solaris!

I have a Solaris! I thought I was going to have to wait until Autumn but then, last week, noticed that Thomann had the Solaris listed as in stock. And, to cut a long story short, today one arrived and now it's in my room. Lucky fellow that I am.
'Bye for now.

Re: Solaris - Great Britain - anyone managed it?

Thanks John. Your site would seem to be the way to do it. But I need to wait until August to sign up for the list - is that correct? If I did order from you would it come from Germany straight here, do you know? (Here being the U.K., of course). Weston - hoping here that Thomann do the business. Tha...

Re: Solaris - Great Britain - anyone managed it?

Oh, thanks - sorry you haven't got yours yet. Thomann seem very reliable, in my experience. However...they don't have the Solaris listed at all anymore. I think - though I'm not absolutely certain - that a few weeks ago you got the "...is not part of our product range anymore" message if y...
