1. Starting at the left side, Sound Sources: 4 Oscillators, Vector, Rotor, AM, Ext, Noise 2. Then 4 Level Mixers. Each mixer has 4 inputs, so input total = 16. 3. Then 4 Filters. Inputs to those can be any of: OSC, Filters, Mixers 4. Then 4 Amps. Each filter has an AMP and PAN Setting. [bypass AMP/P...

General response: what we have now is a near approximation of at least 1. Oberheim Matrix 2. Moog MiniMoog 3. SCI Prophet 5 4. SCI Prophet VS 5. PPG Wave 6. Yamaha DX7 FM 7. Rotors 8. AM 9. Samples Let's not get too greedy. I am fairly interested in some other types of Synthesis as well. But ...

I was thinking about that as well. What I have sort of come up with is that it seems like it is standard layout, in a general sense. VCO -> VCF -> VCA. Then ENV and LFO's. But I am still confused a bit by when/where the mixer sits in the flowchart. The one note I would add, the thing that might thro...

it's an osc osc osc osc world!
One followup related to the mixing observations...
Suppose I have: Osc1,Osc2,Osc3,Osc4 going to Mixer1.
Can I also still use the Rotors and Vectors as Sources, etc. So for example, can I have Rotor1 as Input1 to Mixer2, and Vector1 as Input2 to Mixer2 and so on?
I'm assuming the answer is yes...

OK. I think I see what the "Mixer" section is all about now. I think the initial confusion was that most synths don't have this. Let me see if I can describe this clearly... ;-/ The mixer section is a pre-filter mixer for each filter. What this does is let you send more than 1 oscillator t...

Yeah, I was just looking at your thread and those pics. Looks like it turned out *AWESOME*. Better than I expected. The layout for the osc/mixers/fx/lfos... excellent. The connectivity on the back is incredible. And the extra controllers onboard, having the joystick, ribbon, and wheels. What can I s...

Got to hear David Wessels talk (and perform) today. http://cnmat.berkeley.edu/people/david_wessel It reminded me again why I ordered a Solaris. It's that thing where... if you are just sitting in front of a computer screen, you can get pulled out of the process of performing. Or might spend too much...

I voted in favor of the LuxPad as well. Seems like at a minimum we would get 1000-points-per-inch resolution. And if we are lucky, we would get some macro's, or a couple of modes out of the thing. One thing to note: this thing might also produce pressure values. So we might get fine x/y + coarse pre...

Solaris on Xite-1 ?
Is the plugin going to be available for the Xite-1 ?
I guess the obvious followup question is: if I have v4.X, will I be able to upgrade from my old PulsarII to the new Xite-1, or will I be starting from scratch to get Solaris or QWave into the Xite-1 box?
[ Just curious... ]
