Re: Developer Fund
Great news. I think 2.0 should be narrow in scope and all about *infrastructure* and not *sound updates* (much like Reno above). Pick a few things and do them well: 1) Sampler upgrade: multi-sample and simplified sample loading and update in way samples are used. Scrolling through samples should wor...

Re: other Solaris hardware ideas
Seems like there’s only 4 of you reading this topic! That’s a little disappointing after 2 weeks. Anyone else have an opinion?? Perhaps owners don't regularly check this forum, but I'm sure they will want to help . So..Three options: 1) Send an email or survey out to all Solaris owners. You will ge...

Re: Multitimbral
I agree with you and hope that John reaches out to owners to raise capital for ongoing development. Things can really speed up when you have some ongoing revenue to pay the programmers. I'd also love to see a basic computer editor, with easy and simple loading of samples and patch naming to make tho...

Re: other Solaris hardware ideas
John, Regarding the hardware choice: Option 1 is clearly the answer: The UI of the Solaris is a big part of its magic. Taking away knobs and screens is not the right plan. Also, do you really want to spend all that time re-designing the hardware interface to work with just a few knobs? That doesn't ...

Re: other Solaris hardware ideas
John - great hardware ideas: However, I think you should also consider ongoing software development as a product source for you. There are so many happy owners, and I think we would pay to fund ongoing programming upgrades. It would be great if you raised some capital to keep taking software develop...

Fast & Simple & Easy Sample Loading
Love the Solaris but I wish there was a way to easily drag and drop samples onto it. Either that or maybe someone prepares and sells a bunch of sample sets. Everything is so intuitive with the workflow, but I can't get my head around the sample thing. Hopefully there is some plan to simplify the wor...

Re: Solaris Strings
I do hope that the sample import is simplified in the next major OS. The dream is to "drag and drop" samples from the computer, and have them easily and instantly imported to the Solaris. The sample stuff is next level, but it's now another technical thing getting in the way of fast workfl...
