Glad to hear that Brotha' Man Septic.

For a minute I thought your judgement was slipping, but anyone who wants a Voyager and Solaris has good taste and loves synthesizers.

Having a real analog w/ Solaris...................that's just great common synth sense.

Hang in there Bro'.

I don't mean to rush you in any way :P
Hi Septic,
It's not about rushing us - we are all eager to see the synth to come out soon! It's just having some new options offered to me at this point in the development was tempting enough to be willing to delay things a bit more.

cheers,

Hello All,

Today is our last day here in Germany, and we've managed to accomplish quite a lot in the week we've been here. Those of you who have pre-purchased will be getting a full update on things after I have a chance to get caught up back home.

We have reviewed everything - the types of knobs used, alternate colors for the graphic display, different looks for the case color and graphics, a new logo, and layout/functions of some switches. I can say that I am more excited than ever about the new changes we've planned, and I'm sure it will be worth the wait!

cheers,
John B.

Well I ordered this one, downside is that it will take 4-6 weeks to be assembled hehehe.

Hi JB and forum posse,

I have been offline for a while now, working does that sometimes. I reccently came back on to check the progress of the Solaris, and let me say it looks's great (the mock-up drawing). I am currently preparing to score for a feature film in a number of months, and i have decided to skip the sampled based stuff (90% of it anways) in favour of this new synth. The new samples i heard are fantastic and itching to be in a score or two.... 8) I have put my preproduction on hold for this to come out. My hope is it'll be the solaris and 48 tracks of pro tools, and my engineer :) . We were looking at the new Spectrasonics Omnisphere, but also put that on hold. JB Synth Design will definately be on our SDK album credits once we get our hands on this thing. Take your time, make it right JB, coming to a cinema near you.

Cheers.

B787,

I definitely appreciate the sentiments expressed in your message, however, I still think that people should not have too much expectations regarding Solaris as a sample-based or sample-processing box - and the Omnisphere (announced as available yesterday) looks to be an incredible tool for a wide variety of sound design projects. Eric Persing and his crew have a ton of experience in this area (not to mention a ton of $$$ to invest in the development!), and I'm sure you wouldn't regret having it as a workhorse plug-in (hopefully you would have both of our products in your studio  ).

Hi JB,

We're not discrediting the Omnisphere, we think it's absolutely the most amazing thing in software we've heard in a while. For this once we just looked towards a more orgainc sound source to produce our pads/fx/basses/leads/percussions etc. The Omnisphere will indeed come in time, but definately after the Solaris. Conitue working, we lookd forward to hearing and creating sounds on it.

Cheers
