SOLVED: Enter Button option to load new OS not working

Post by rdorsche » Thu Jul 04, 2019 6:38 pm

Minor bug report.
Updating from v1.3.1 to v1.4.4 after multiple tries.
The "hold down the Enter Button during startup" method did not bring up the installation menu as noted in the v1.4.2 (latest) manual.

Otherwise the Enter button itself works just fine.

However I did change the "doFlash" txt file from 0 to 1, and installation was successful; now running v1.4.4.
Solaris #292; serial 0495a23c from Info Page

The “Hold Enter during startup” won’t work if you are holding down Enter BEFORE you turn on the power. You have to do that first, then hold down the Enter button.

Ah okay. No Matter, I'm updated regardless.
I *thought* I tried that variation (power-on-then-enter), but I can't remember at this point.
Thanks for answering, John!
