Favorite Reverb

Hi Solaris Owners!

I’d like to know what reverbs everyone is using - to see if there’s a general consensus as to which one works best for Solaris sounds, and your uses in general.

Thanks,
John B.

Hi John,

Since a short time - like a lot of synthesizer users - I have a BigSky Strymon. I like it a lot.

I have been using Valhalla vintageverb quite a bit which I like a lot (you can really dial in the tone with the EQ settings). I have heard lots of great things from the BigSky Strymon and have been considering getting one of those for a while.

For 70s/80s sound -- OTO BAM
For general room/ambience -- Eventide 2016
For AMAZING ambient 'blade runner' sounds -- Mercury Meris 7

I still have a Big Sky but I'm slowly losing my interest in Strymon's delay/reverbs -- they have a metallic sheen to them, and that weird "dry on top of wet" sound.

I use Strymon big sky and eventide h9 max. Both are very flexible with small to extremes.

valhalla mostly for big spaces
redline reverb. Super old algorithm (r66 is was once called). But still does the job.
