Hi everyone,

"I know its said to be bad practice ot just pull out the USB of an external hard drive, but I literally cannot help it!

Everytime I try to eject the Drive safely, whether it be Windows 7 or Windows 10, I get this problem...

(I close all the windows that could possibly use it)"

Any idea, suggestions would be appreciated ,

Thanks

You should check the settings of the USB drives... It's been a while since I've seen this option, but there are 2.

They are under the 'Policies' of USB drives, I think it might be accessed via Right-Clicking on the USB drive and going into properties, but my memory is a little foggy on that.

Option 1: Quick Removal (default) and Option 2: Better Performance.

It may be that you have Option 2 selected.
