Washington -- a Statescape

Post by cornutt »

Here's a track done entirely with the Solaris. Among the things I do are tracks that I call "Statescapes". If you've heard any of Robert Fripp's Soundscapes, you know the idea -- "music of repetition and hazard", a sound-on-sound technique using long-period delays with feedback and improvisation. While Fripp uses years as arbitrary song titles, I use the names of U.S. states.

This is the first Statescape I've done for which it wasn't necessary to use an external delay line. All of the noise you hear is coming directly from a single take with the Solaris -- no external processing, effects, or editing. More details at the Web page.
