When browsing through some old issues of Keyboard, I noticed this image in the June 1985 issue. How time flies... :D

Still browsing old music magazines, I found another reference to John in the September 1983 issue of Electronics & Music Maker.

What a 'blast from the past'! Even younger than the previous post. (Eyes closed - I'm either asleep from jetlag, or in some kind of religious trance, playing the T8 :-) )

Hmmm, regarding the Prophet5 - I don't think I told the writer that I "told him (Dave) what to put on it....and he built it". It was definitely a collaborative effort. The thing is, both Dave & I were Minimoog users, and we both had similar UI designs because of that layout. In the end, the only things I ended up convincing Dave to add were what made up the Poly Mod section. What was most amazing to me was that he went from breadboarding the design to full prototype in 6 months!

Well since we're on topic, John B gets honorable mention as Dave Smith gets TECnology hall of fame award!
