I am so feverish to get mine I sent John my schedule. Since I am travelling in July on a riverboat I will send JB my position via GPS....
Actually when the trip is over I pray there's a nice big check waiting for me and a Solaris.
The first thing I will do is power it up and try the ribbon.
Then I will send it digital outs into the analog inputs and see if it nullifies...
If it doesn't nullify I can go to Gearslutz and join in those year long threads where kids are arguing about their DAW being better than ProTools, etc..

Perhaps John can elaborate to avoid any confusion. :)
Yes, that was my understanding also, would appreciate some clarification regarding this? :?:
That WAS the original plan, but Jimmy was interested in getting his Solaris right away, so we discussed sending it directly.
However, as it is now, the idea to ship units to me en masse is not being planned....I think they wanted to do this via boat, which would really add to the already long wait time.

I will recalculate and pray for 300 USD.... :!:

Will have to check - the proto used a 12V external power supply that says 12v 4A for the output, but 60 Watt 1.1A for the input.

I had a case made in 2009 from A & S Cases for 42" x 18" x 8".
I asked for the old snake skin ( fake unscratchable Python, Brown ) and they were shocked as it never sold well, but I spent a few large there in early '90s on Amp Rack Mixer Shocks and 3 x Synths cases and they said they had the material laying around in the back....so I will also shocked.
That was 18 years ago..
I'm rarin' and ready.

Final dimensions

A number have asked about the final dimensions and weight of the production Solaris, and though I've listed them in the Specifications, I thought I'd better put them over here as well:

Dimensions - 39" x 16.73" x 6" (WxDxH); 98 x 42.5 x 15 cm (WxDxH)
Weight - approximately 33 pounds (15kg)
Shipping weight - approximately 38.58 pounds (17.5 kilos)
