Yes, since this is a problem in both the Blackfin and SHARC code, we didn’t address this one yet, because Jim is not a SHARC coder. We still need to find someone to help with that part.

This problem seems still to be present in the v1.3 OS, so maybe it will be addressed in a later release?

It depends on the voice manager...you may need to press the same key 10 times to cycle through all the voices before you get the current value you are expecting. I'll check it again as well here....

Normally these things are reported in the Bug list section, but the full list I mentioned is not posted at this time. I'll see if I can put up something...

Thank you John.

But i think there is another problem behind this : because of the random answer of the decay time, if it was only a key behind i should not have random answer when i trig the same note.

Is the list you speak about visible somewhere ? It could be a great gain of time when someone find something he doesn't understand to have a look at this list ?

This is a bug which is on the list already. The Note value being used for calculations is one key behind where it should be, and therefore, it's not possible to use the key tracking for ADSR modulation as you would expect. As soon as there is a fix, we will post a new OS version.

Keytrack modulate a decay time

by Patate le mgae » Sun Jun 16, 2013 3:08 am

Hi everybody,

I have a strange problem :
I want to create a sound for wich the decay time is shorter when the note is sharper ( a piano-like )
On the EG-6 i choose Delay: 0.0ms, Attack :0.0 ms, Decay : 8.0s, Sustain : 0, Release : 0.0 ms
I assign KeyTrk to D-Src for the EG-6
On the next screen, i choose D-Mod : -63
Now the solaris is acting strangely : the decay time seems to be randomize : if i repeat the same note the decay time is variable : from very short to very long.
Stranger : if i choose arp on and hold : the decay time is random for a time but after that it sometimes acts normally.

I try with the others EG and others value (in place of -63 ) and i have the same behavior.

Probably i haven't understood something.

Sorry for my english ( this is quite difficult for me )
