You can try to directly control the pitch with the velocity without using an envelop.
Is the envelop correctly control your pitch if it isn't map with the velocity ?
On my synth the two methods are ok.

I use velocity to stretch the Jaw Oscillators' detuning since it is an Oscillator with several Saw waves.
The harder you hit the note the more detuning you get.
But using 2 different Oscillators could get the same effect, it's just the Jaw does this all in a single slot.
This leaves me 3 slots for other ideas.

I actually use the ModWheel, Velocity and at the very end of the audio clip use the Ribbon controller since this preset has many controllers.

Trying to get that old Ted Nugent Papas' Will 2 string guitar bend on a synth. Came out OK me thinks.

I have I am having a problem with velocity. And maybe its just my approach. Would love some help on this.

Its in the mod source on the Osc section.

I can map Velocity to an envelope and use that envelope on the cutof of the filter for example. Then it plays as expected. I can make a synth that gets brighter and darker as you hit the keys harder and softer.

What I cant do however is get that same behavior on the tuning of the oscillators. I cant for the life of me create a patch where osc 2 gets more subtly detuned from osc 1the harder you hit it using the same envelope that is working well on the filter.

Am I doing something wrong?

Can anyone make a patch that does this?
